Tables turned

Yeonjun's POV :

Since everyone's  walking ahead, leaving just me and Soobin at the back, we seize this chance to walk hand in hand till we reach the cafe and nobody's gonna know!

As we reach the cafe, Jongho speaks in french to a waitress and get us a large table at the corner and everyone starts settling down in their seats.

I tug Soobin's arm slightly, making sure no one else notices and whisper to him quietly.

"I'm going to excuse myself to the restroom, you come meet me there in a few minutes." 

I watch as Soobin's eyes spark with excitement, a smirk forming on his lips.

He nods.

"Guys, I need to use the restroom, if the waiter comes by, just order me a cafe latte." I say and make my way to the restroom and wait for Soobin to come too.

The thing is, we are not necessarily broken up....

*FLASHBACK*

 THE NIGHT OF THE ENGAGEMENT PARTY*

"I'm sorry Yeonjun" Wooyoung says and walks right past me.

Wooyoung left. He's always done this. Whenever a situation gets hard his first instinct is to flee.

Tears well up. 

Yeosang consoles me but that didn't stop my tears from falling nor the aching pain of my heart ripping.

I want him to be there at my wedding. It's supposed to be the most important day of my life, I need my best friend there.

"He'll come around Yeonjun, don't worry. We'll make him understand." Yeosang comforts me.

I hear the restroom door creak open and a familiar voice erupt in concern.

"Baby, what's wrong?" Soobin asks, his arms opening wide offering comfort.

Yeosang releases me and I run into my fiance's arms, bury me face in his chest and sob uncontrollably.

"What happened?" Soobin asks in a serious tone to Yeosang.

"Wooyoung got really upset and he just left. I guess he won't be coming to your wedding." Yeosang explains.

"Upset about what?" Soobin's tone starts getting more dangerous, more heated.

I speak before Yeosang could give an explanation.

"I'll explain everything, can we call it a night and just go back to the penthouse??" I say, wiping my tears.

Soobin nods.

"Why don't you go wait in the car, I'll make up some excuse and tell the guys that we're leaving"

"Ok.."

AT THE PENTHOUSE*

"So you're telling me Wooyoung feels betrayed because San announced his engagement with Karina?" Soobin asks, clarifying.

I nod yes.

"I think y'all have got it all wrong. San is not engaged to anybody!" Soobin says.

"What? You sure?"

"Honey, San's my best friend, if he even thinks of getting engaged I'll be the first to know" 

I think for a moment.

Their engagement was announced by San's dad at some party hosted by his family. The party was just for relatives and business partners. It was the few students who personally attended that party, because of their business relations, who brought in the news.
