Wooyoung's POV
It's a new day. The sun was too perfect for anything serious. Blue sky, warm breeze, pool sparkling like a movie set. It's the perfect kind of morning that practically begs you to do absolutely nothing by the pool.
So We all decide to call it a pool day. No schedules, no drama—just swim, sun, and enough cocktails to forget about whatever stress weighing us down.
"Dibs on the lounger with the umbrella!" Yeosang shouts, darting toward the poolside chairs like his life depends on it.
"I'll get the drinks!" Mingi volunteers, stretching dramatically like he's preparing for battle.
"Woah woah! No drinks for you. Do you not remember the last time you got drunk?" Taehyun reprimands Mingi, reminding him of the night at rooftop party.
"Let's swim instead" Taehyun drags an extremely disappointed Mingi, getting themselves ready for a dip in the pool.
The others scatter—some jumping into the water, others already arguing about who gets to use the waterproof speaker. I hang back, towel in hand, eyes trailing across the scene.
In the middle of all this happy chaos, my brain betrays me. It keeps racing back to one thing.
Last night.
The way he looked at me.
Our dance.
Our almost-kiss.
The voice note. God, that voice note.
You're the kind of pretty that makes reality fade away....
I swallow hard.
Did he mean it? Was that real, or was he just playing along with this fake boyfriend thing? What if I'm reading too much into it?
"Hey," Yeonjun says, appearing beside me with a suspicious look. "You're zoning out."
"I'm not—"
"You're thinking about San, aren't you?" he says, his lips curving into a smirk as he raises his eyebrow.
I nearly choke. "What? NO!" I quickly clear my throat, regaining my composure and reply in a more calm tone. "What makes you say that?"
"Because you just seem distracted ever since you were back from the date," he says. "Ah, speak of the devil."
"Huh?" I turn.
And then I see him.
San.
Walking out from the hotel.
Towel around his neck.
Hair slightly wet.
And most importantly—Oh god.
He's shirtless.
My heart does something stupid in my chest, I feel my face heating up. My hands suddenly forget how to hang normally.
"Why is he shirtless?" I ask no one in particular.
"We're at a pool. Did you expect him to show up in a suit and tie?" Changbin asks sarcastically.
I glare at him.
Yeonjun snorts "Why do you care?"
"I don't! I am just worried that those women might attack him. Look at the way they're eyeing him." I point towards the group of women eyeing him like a piece of meat, ready to pounce at any given moment.
"Hey guys." San greets us with a smile.
His annoyingly charming smile.
"Yeah, hi, whatever." I say nonchalantly, looking at literally anything but his abs - I mean face!
"You ok?" San asks confused.
"Don't mind him. He's just flustered to see you half naked." Yeonjun answers casually, like he's commenting on the weather.
