Remmy brought Maria to hang out with her friends in hopes to cheer her up. She dragged Maria while holding her hand, Remmy greeted her friends and introduced Maria to them. Maria didn't say much.
Maria looked at a particular person behind Remmy's friends. Her eyes widened as she knew the person. The person was Noelia. Noelia looked at Maria and was as shocked as her. It was more shocking for Noelia to see his friend Maria to be in a depressed state but he stood quiet pretending not to see her. Maria noticed and she understood.
"Since everyone's here, let's start with biking. This trail is good for cycling," said Jay.
The group went to a rental bike shop to rent some bikes. Remmy suddenly stopped and the rest was confused. Remmy embarrassingly admitted that she doesn't know how to ride a bike. Noelia rented a bicycle with a pillion seat and offered Remmy to ride with him. Remmy was pleased and agreed to.
Maria started to feel jealous of them. Beth snapped her back and asked if she could ride a bike. Maria answered with a yes then she was given a bike. All of them got on their bikes and cycled through the trail.
"Haha, you can do it, Noel!" Remmy cheered.
Noelia struggled to keep paddling with Remmy's weight but he kept on going. Noelia managed to get the hang on it and started to enjoy it. Noelia and Remmy were having fun together smiling and laughing while Maria watched them in jealousy.
"Hey!" said Beth, snapping her fingers at Maria. "Stop daydreaming, we gotta catch up. By the way, the name's Beth. I'm Remmy's cousin."
"Oh, my name's Maria." Maria replied.
Maria began to dislike Remmy as she was hanging out with Noelia a lot more. Beth saw Maria's gloomy face and asked about it. Maria lied saying that she was only thinking about her ex. Then Beth asked her again why she was staring at Remmy and Noelia. Maria dismissed Beth's question which made her more suspicious of her lies.
"You're jealous of my cousin, aren't you?" said Beth.
Maria stopped and asked "What are you talking about? I told you I'm only thinking about my ex!"
"If so then why are you being bitter to my cousin whenever she's with Noelia?" Beth returned.
"How about you stay away from my business and mind your own!" Maria replied.
"Hey! Remmy's my cousin, it's only natural I care for her," said Beth. "You know if you have a problem, you should confront it. Running away from it won't help at all."
Maria ignored Beth's words and continued cycling away. Beth sighed and questioned how her cousin became friends with that person.
The more Noelia hung out with Remmy, the more jealous Maria grew. She didn't like seeing them together. Her insecurities were starting to show. When the group stopped to get drinks, Remmy invited Noelia to buy drinks with her, Noelia agreed. Remmy turned to Maria and asked, Maria hesitated but agreed to join.
The three of them went to the drink stalls and bought drinks. Noelia and Remmy's conversation made Maria somehow like a third-wheel. Maybe Ethan was right, maybe Noelia doesn't love Maria anymore. She realized how Noelia felt when she was still dating Ethan, she came to the conclusion that this might be karma for her.
Remmy excused herself to the bathroom leaving Maria and Noelia alone together. Maria tried not to look at Noelia, she was too embarrassed to face Noelia and strike up a conversation with him.
"That's odd...Aren't you supposed to be with Ethan?" Noelia asked.
Maria stood quietly, not daring to answer Noelia's question.
"You broke up...didn't you? I can tell from your face when you saw Remmy with me," said Noelia.
Maria turned her face away and was surprised that Noelia could guess it correctly. She decided to come clean and was ready to apologize.
"It's true...we broke up. You had grown to dislike me because of how I treated you when I'm still dating Ethan, right?" said Maria. "It's fine, I understand and I deserved it. I don't ask you to forgive me but if I have the chance... I wanted to say that I'm sorry. I'm sorry that I treated you like a stranger...I'm truly sorry."
Maria began to sob regretting her actions towards Noelia in the past. She knew Noelia didn't want to forgive her but she had to accept it. Noelia's action shocked Maria as Noelia hugged her.
"You don't have to. Even how you treated me before, you don't deserve it and I forgive you because I still love you." said Noelia.
Noelia's words made Maria in tears as she began to cry and hugged him tightly. She was thankful to Noelia for willing to forgive her. They reconciled and embraced each other. Maria was happy that her relationship with Noelia didn't end terribly. Remmy was watching and smiled at them from a distance.
"Well done, Noel. You did it." said Remmy.
Noelia wiped Maria's tears away and smiled at her. Maria smiled back at him. Remmy came back and pretended to be unaware of it.
"So what did I miss, guys?" she asked.
"Well, we just talked actually," Maria replied with a smile.
"Yeah we just did that's all," Noelia continued.
Remmy was happy to see both of them smiling together. She hoped that their relationship would continue to grow better. Then Jay called them from afar.
"Hey we're going head back home! Mark could really use an ice pack, he tried to fight Beth and ended up losing," said Jay.
"Hey!" Mark yelled at Jay.
Jay ignored him and said to the three of them, "You guys can join us if you want too!"
The three looked at each other and chuckled. They agreed on going home too. Noelia and Maria secretly hold hands on their way walking. After they all split up, Noelia accompanied Maria back to her home.
She thanked Noelia for his generosity then Maria kissed Noelia's cheek and bade him goodbye as she entered her apartment. Noelia stood there blushing and his face turned tomato red. He then walked home while his face was still red. But somewhere not far, someone was watching them.
