Before opening, Elena came to the bakery to visit her family, she entered and cheerfully greeted her mother once she saw her. It had been quite a long time since Elena got married and moved away with her husband.
"Mother! It's great to see you!" said Elena cheerfully, "Elena, it's so nice to see you so well. How have you been?" Rosa replied as both of them embraced each other with a hug. "I'm doing well, anyways I have to discuss this with you. It's important!" said Elena.
Rosa nodded and invited her to talk upstairs. Elena called her husband to come upstairs too. Her husband appeared behind Elena. Rosa looked around Norris to make sure he wasn't bringing a gun. Although she knew Norris worked as a police officer as well as a detective and understands that he brought a gun only to serve as self-defense but she still felt unsafe with the presence of that item. After checking, Rosa felt safe and relieved that there were no guns that were brought.
"Oh, Norris! How are you?" Rosa greeted, "Ma'am," Norris greeted back with a deep voice
Then Manuel arrived to help the bakery since he had free time. Manuel entered the bakery and undressed his coat and put his cane in the umbrella rack.
"Hey guys, I was asked to help here and Isabela can't come because she's busy." said Manuel then he stopped to see Norris was there. Manuel excused himself. Manuel found Sebastian and said, "Norris is here?!".
Sebastian sighed and said, "Yeah I know, usually when Elena comes around she would always bring him over if he's not busy.".
Rosa, Elena and her husband entered upstairs then Manuel glared at Norris. Norris noticed Manuel was glaring at him.
"Y'know it's rude to stare at people. It's awful to see someone with those clothes with such manners," said Norris.
"Yeah but at least I don't look like a pirate!" Manuel countered, making Norris a bit irritated so he commented, "Whatever you say, at least you used some Manuel labor in your ass brain to think like that.".
Sebastian stopped Manuel from trying to hit Norris then he put a distance between Manuel and Norris. Sebastian approached Manuel and looked at his face with a serious look.
He whispered to him, "Don't do it, from the look of his face, he might not give you a chance to move an inch.". Manuel stopped after hearing Sebastian's warning and just let it sink.
"Alright boys, I think all of you should stop fighting," said Elena, trying to defuse the matter.
"Come on, Norris. We have important matters to discuss." said Elena as she dragged Norris by his hand.
Rosa ordered Sebastian and Manuel to go downstairs to work as the bakery was about to be opened.
"So, what seems to be about this matter." Rosa asked. "It's about parenthood, mother." Elena answered. Meanwhile, Sebastian and Manuel were working downstairs, Manuel looked at the stairs and said "I'm going to eavesdrop on their conversation.".
"Woah! It's rude to invade people's privacy," said Sebastian.
"Well there's our sister and that beast. So this counts as protecting!" Manuel replied.
Sebastian sighed as he saw his younger brother sneaking upstairs to eavesdrop.
"What brought you to speak up about that matter?" Rosa asked curiously. "
We planned to have a child but before that, we need to make further plans," Elena replied. "We want to know your advice.".
Rosa thought of an advice but she couldn't find one so she asked for more details. Elena knew that raising a child would be hard but at least they could find a way to ease it. Rosa didn't seem sure if it can be eased, it all depends on their way of parenting. Rosa looked on her experience raising her four children and thought if it can be used as advice for her daughter.
"Should I tell her from my experience...those four are really a handful. Maybe I could use that," Rosa said to herself.
"So what is it, mother? Do you have an answer?" Elena asked.
"I think it's better for you to experience it yourself so you would understand better and you could come up with your parenting. My only advice is don't try to cross the line in parenting, this is the best I could do," Rosa answered.
Elena wasn't really satisfied by her mother's answer but she understands. Meanwhile back downstairs, Manuel managed to hear some of the topics that the two women were discussing. He retold all that he heard to his elder brother.
"Did you hear that? I would feel bad for any kid with a dad like Norris," said Manuel.
"Manuel! Can you stop?" said Sebastian "You're making me agree about things that should have happened like last time,".
"Seriously?!" said Manuel in shock.
Sebastian sighed and told his younger brother to leave them alone and it wasn't their business to interfere. Sebastian went back on working and he advised Manuel to do the same as they were told to. Manuel agreed and went back on working again with his elder brother.
After the discussion Elena and her mother had, Elena looked at the time and said that she needed to get going. She bid her mother goodbye and went downstairs. Norris who followed her noticed the door on Noelia's room was opened. He looked inside to see Noelia sleeping."It's that kid again..." Norris said to himself, then he went downstairs as well.
