Hello Future Family

Noelia and Maria were discussing the plan of meeting each other's family. Maria already seems to have met Noelia's family so it wouldn't be challenging but Noelia hadn't met Maria's family yet. It would be more challenging for Noelia and even worse, Noelia never even met them in the first place. Maria had been living away from her parents, so they had to drive to Maria's home state of Florida.

Noelia went to ask Sebastian if he could borrow his car. Sebastian didn't seem to trust Noelia after that event where Noelia crashed his car. Then Noelia suggested that Maria drive, Sebastian gave some thought. After some thinking, he let Noelia use the car in the condition that he really let Maria drive it. Noelia promised to let Maria drive and Sebastian gave him the keys.

After being given the keys, they drove to Florida to meet Maria's parents. Noelia was intensely nervous, he couldn't stop sweating.

"Don't be nervous, we'll get through it together," Maria assured.

They arrived at Maria's parents' house, Maria rang the doorbell and a woman opened the door. The woman looked at Maria wide-eyed and proceeded to hug her. The woman seemed to be her mother. Maria's mother called out a man who was Maria's father.

The man embraced his daughter as he missed her. The man noticed Noelia behind his daughter, and asked Maria about Noelia. She told her father that it would be better to discuss it inside. He agreed and let them in.

"Hello my name's Noelia, it is nice to meet you, Mr and Mrs...uhm..." said Noelia.

"Mr and Mrs Fidalgo but you can call me Zaira and my husband Marco," Zaira replied. "So Maria, who exactly is he?"

"Mom...dad...I know it is wrong for me to not inform you so please don't get mad at me...I'm engaged with him," said Maria.

Her parents were shocked to hear the news as they were never informed about it even the part where Noelia and Maria were dating. They never heard a single thing. Maria's parents were confused, especially Marco. He was perplexed on how Maria could be marrying that man if he doesn't even know she was dating him in the first place.

"Mom, dad! It was wrong of me but I love him, I wanted to-," said Maria before getting interrupted by her father.

"Maria...go talk with your mother. I want to have a word with your "fiance"," said Marco with a serious demeanor.

Maria obliged and went with her mother to talk privately while her father would have a chat with Noelia, man to man. Noelia looked at the two women leaving, he began to sweat in nervousness again.

The two men stared at each other for minutes until Maria's father said the first word.

"Have yourself some tea," said Marco.

"Oh yes, thank you!" Noelia replied, sipping the tea.

"Isn't it nice that we can get to know each other, yes?" Marco asked.

"Yes..." Noelia replied.

"Excellent..." said Marco. His tone shifted to something serious as he asked, "Are you really engaged with Maria?"

"Yes, sir!" Noelia replied

Marco put down his mug and asked another question, "Tell me...what exactly do you seek with Maria, it better not be her body."

"Oh I wouldn't do that!" said Noelia nervously. "The truth is...Maria means a lot to me, she is like my other half."

"Decent words though you can pick better," Marco replied.

"I had already discussed it with Maria, we agreed on marrying that's why we are here," said Noelia.

Marco leaned back at the sofa and crossed his arms, he gave Noelia a glare. Noelia felt intimidated by the glare and tried to remain calm.
