The first time I laid eyes on her was at Mihir’s engagement party. She didn’t notice me; I was sure of it. If she had, she would have remembered me yesterday.
She was draped in that blue saree—God, it hugged her curves in ways that could make any man weak. The way it flowed over her body was divine, accentuating every inch of her. Her curly hair cascaded down her shoulders, wild and free, only adding to her allure. I couldn’t stop staring. Her eyes… large, framed by those dark lashes that fluttered every time she smiled, and that tiny nose, perfectly placed, making her look both innocent and seductive at once.
I fell for her right there, on the spot.
I regret not introducing myself that night. I don’t even know what held me back. Maybe it was the way she carried herself—so effortlessly confident, so unaware of the effect she had on people, especially on me. I thought it would be the last time I’d see her, and I was a fool for letting that chance slip.
But then, as if fate had taken pity on me, I saw her again. At Mihir’s office, of all places. Turns out they’re colleagues. I would have known if I cared to ask Mihir earlier, but I hadn’t. Maybe a part of me didn’t want to jinx it—meeting her twice in such close succession felt like a sign. I was grateful for it, even if she still didn’t know I existed.
She’s unlike anyone I’ve met before. I’ve always been drawn to ambition and strength, but she… she’s more than that. She’s relentless. A force of nature. Like a river cutting through rock, carving its path no matter the obstacles. There’s something about her drive, the fire in her eyes, that makes her even more irresistible.
But then, there’s the softness, too.
She feels like a soft breeze, one that brushes against your skin in the middle of autumn, a chill that sends shivers through your spine, making you want to pull someone close. To me, she’s like that perfect moment before a thunderstorm, when the air grows thick, the temperature drops just enough to make your skin prickle, and your body hums with anticipation.
She makes me want to curl up in her warmth, yet keeps me on edge with her intensity.
I can’t stop thinking about her. Ever since last night… Ever since we crossed paths at that bar. She looked even better up close—more than I’d imagined. Her scent—it’s seared into my senses. A mix of sweetness and spice, the kind that wraps around you like a drug. No woman has ever gotten under my skin the way she has.
I should have made my move last night. When we brushed past each other, the tension between us was palpable. The air crackled with electricity. I could tell she felt it too, even if she wouldn’t admit it.
My fingers twitched with the urge to reach out, to pull her closer, to feel the warmth of her body against mine. But I didn’t. I held back. I let her go.
Still, the thought of her lips haunts me, the way her body might feel pressed against mine. There’s a storm brewing between us, I can feel it. It’s only a matter of time before it breaks loose, and when it does…
She’ll know she’s mine.
