For miles, all that could be heard was the steps of many, thousands of hundreds of steps. Nothing seemed to stop it until something made entirely of ice struck the ground. It blocked the way. It was clear someone landed on it as a shadow loomed from a top it, large wings but not the same kind the golden thief had. The wings were less sharp looking after a while of silence, a vaguely male voice spoke from a top of the ice. "THY LEADER OF ALL OF THY HERE! FACE ME UP HERE UPON THE ICE!" It rung through the area. Whoever was up there was challenging the beast. The way they had spoken was strange as well. It was shocking, but it seems the challenge was accepted as the beast did go to the ice, now facing the being who challenged
The beast now looked at the one who had challenged. It had been a short fox cookie who had wings and a halo. The fox had looked stunned for a moment as he looked at the beast but shook his head and now looked more determined. "I am Ice, I challenge you thy beast to a fight." The determined tone in the fox's voice was interesting far more than what had been for the cocky tone of the thief. "You challenge me? Well then, you have some bravery to you." The beast spoke with intrigue. "I will accept your challenge." The word of the beast accepting the challenge had made the fox go into an offensive stance as a shine of magic could be seen as he made a blade of ice...
Down below, only snippets of the fight could have been seen as occasionally the fox would go into the air but land down onto the ice again. The fox had steady movements. Whoever taught him how to fight must have had skill in hunting as he was small but used circling tactics. He could easily glide around the ice. But even so, the beast was still able to fend off the attacks. But at some point, he did make it past the defense of the beast but didn't harm but instead gave a squeak? The fox just quickly covered his mouth he jumped back, and he covered his face with his wings.
The fox had gotten flustered due to getting near the beast. He never expected such a reaction from himself. He didn't understand why he reacted like that. "I..I forfeit I can't. I don't understand why I did that. I'm sorry-!" His words came off as surprising to the beast yet still fairly understandable. "Why do you hide your face?" "Just embarrassed that is all-" After that was said, the fox or well, Ice as he said that was his name lowered his wings his cheeks had faintly darkened in dough color, either from being flustered or embarrassed it wasn't known. "..is it okay if I join you and your group seeing as I failed to defeat you?" The beast did look slightly surprised again by Ice's words but intrigued regardless. "I don't see why not as you are an incredible fighter it would be great if you joined us." The beast smiled greatly after he had spoken.
The two came down from the ice, the rest of those there had set up camp as it had gotten to sun set, Ice felt so small compared to everyone else, he wasn't muscular and to be honest he was small compared to everyone else but he wasn't unhealthy, he wasn't chubby just a thin-ish. He hadn't moved far from the beast as he was following him, noticeably frozen paw prints followed behind Ice. Ice had his wings closed and just carefully looked around. He heard murmuring around him, and he felt like thousands of eyes were looking at him. He looked like he was trying to hide his nerves.
"Are you alright there?" "Huh? Oh yes! Just fine! Just not used to being around so many-" The beast had stopped moving during asking if he was okay, Ice hadn't even realized that he had been fidgeting with his sleeves due to nerves. "Where I'm from, I'm more used to fewer cookies being around, especially with the fact that they weren't those made of more normal dough but me and my sister were different from them but treated the same regardless!" He gave an awkward smile to the beast.
"Hm.. alright then." Was all that was simply said. The two continued their walk through the thousands of others, and they finally stopped once through the whole crowd. Those around them had already set up a place for the beast to rest, and Ice moved away from the beast since he was unsure of where he would be resting at all. He was an unexpected addition to the crowd, after all. "You can stay with me since you don't have a spot to rest yet." "wha- really? Even after I had challenged you?" "Yes, you will still need a place to rest, and I do not mind sharing." Ice looked so surprised by this.
