Request by Matthe0_Riddle
You wake up with an ache in your lower belly; it turned out you got your period.
Slowly, you got ready for work. You put on a pair of white jeans (unfortunately, it was laundry day) and a black top.
As you made your way to the archives, you secretly hoped not to see the devil himself, but your prayers went unanswered.
The devil had his legs crossed on the table, holding a newspaper in his hand. He wore a smug expression, which faded as soon as he laid eyes on you.
You roll your eyes and sit beside Lucy.
You get up in search of more papers when you feel footsteps behind you.
With a sigh, you ask, "What do you want?"
"A date," the person replies.
You glare at them.
"Okay... no date, but at least we can talk?" Lockwood pleads.
"I don't see how that's necessary," you say as you browse through the bookshelf. Just then, Lockwood steps in front of you, blocking your way.
Being trapped with him in the library's stillness reminded me of a past I truly want to forget.
He was close. Too close
He stared intensely at you "You're still as stubborn as before"
You felt hot. The proximity was unbearable. Before you could say anything, he took off his coat and tied it around your waist.
"What are you doing?"
"You soiled your pants."
You gave a confused look when you realised you got your period.
You cover your face in embarrassment. "There goes my image," you mutter.
You hear a light chuckle. Lockwood's eyes crinkle as he finds you adorable.
"You think it's funny?" you ask, teasingly.
"No, sorry, ma'am," he replies, then looks at you seriously. "Do you want to go home?"
"I can't. We're behind on the case, and I can't just bail out on you guys."
"Don't worry about us. We've got this," he assures you, gently holding your shoulder. "Let me take you home."
From that day on, Lockwood did everything he could to regain your trust. He brought you your favorite drink between shifts, walked you home late at night, and invited you to lunch on the weekends. It felt just like old times when you felt inseparable from him.
Maybe he really had changed.
But it was short-lived.
Lockwood takes his time getting ready. Today, it's just you and him working together, as the others are busy with their own tasks. Since you and Lockwood are the only ones on the case, he decides to meet you at a coffee shop.
On his way, he buys a rose for you. As he enters the café, he looks around and spots you waving at him, your smile brightening the room.
Lockwood can't help but blush.
"Hi," you mumble.
"Hi! This is for you," he replies, handing you the rose.
You gasp, "It's beautiful! Thank you." You pout playfully.
After some time, you both return to work, but Lockwood's phone starts ringing. He glances at it with a puzzled expression, while you choose to ignore it, admiring the flower in your hand.
