Emily and Nathan began working together more frequently, especially after she was assigned to handle one of the agency's biggest accounts. The long hours and tight deadlines meant they spent a lot of time in close proximity, brainstorming ideas, reviewing campaigns, and strategizing client pitches.

The first time they worked late together, it was purely professional. They were focused on delivering a winning campaign, barely noticing the time pass until it was well after 10 PM.

But as they continued working together, their conversations began to drift beyond just work. Emily learned that Nathan had been with the company for nearly seven years and was one of the key players in making Evergreen the success it was. He talked about his love for art and how he'd initially wanted to be a painter, but practicality had led him to advertising instead.

"It's not so different," he said one evening, as they shared takeout in the empty boardroom. "Creativity is creativity, whether it's on a canvas or in a marketing campaign."

Emily found herself fascinated by his perspective. Nathan had this quiet depth to him that she hadn't seen at first, and she couldn't deny the growing admiration she felt.

"You must miss it," she said, glancing at him over the edge of her coffee cup. "Painting, I mean."

Nathan shrugged. "Sometimes. But there's satisfaction in this work, too. I like solving problems, creating something meaningful, even if it's for a brand."

Emily nodded, and for a moment, they sat in comfortable silence, a rare pause in their normally hectic lives.
