"Well? Johnny?"
"Chloe, I swear I just fell on the way back from the diner."
"Well, you must have fallen pretty hard because you have literal dirt all over yourself," Chloe scoffed as she placed her hands on her hips, "Johnny, I said no bull -"
Chloe stopped when she looked at Johnny again, noticing a darker shade of red-ish brown color on his hands. How has she not noticed that before? She had no idea.
Johnny must have noticed her stare as he looked down at himself as well, panic setting in, "Uh, Chloe -"
"Oh, don't tell me, you fell in a fucking ditch? Right?" Chloe asked, sarcasm fully heard.
Johnny was trying to think of something convincing, he couldn't have already fucked this up, they had just moved in together a few hours ago. Johnny didn't realize that Chloe was now suspecting him.
"Don't tell me, you killed someone?" Chloe laughed, her arms now crossed.
That's when Johnny froze. If he had been more focused, he would have known that Chloe was being funny, but he was too far in his head to know that.
Chloe stared at him with an uneasy expression. She was waiting for a laugh and a joke back from him, but it never came.
"Wait... You didn't actually kill someone, did you?"
No response.
"Johnny, you know that was - is that why your covered in fucking dirt? Johnny, what the fuck did -" Chloe stammered, now feeling a pang in her stomach. She wasn't one to feel nauseous easily, but this really disturbed her, not knowing if this was actually real.
"I hate to ask this..." She took a deep breath, looking at Johnny in the eyes, "Who? Who was it?"
This moment was going to be the end of Johnny's life if everything went more wrong with Chloe, but he har to stay calm as much as he was panicking on the inside. He saw the fear in her eyes and her body language. She was ready to run.
Johnny didn't speak for a whole minute, which made Chloe more anxious and frustrated.
"It was David."
Chloe almost didn't hear him with how quiet he was, but he also sounded proud.
He sees Chloe stare at him in shock, she doesn't know what to say to what to do, she is frozen in place.
"Oh my god... Oh my god, oh my god... What the FUCK, Johnny!" Chloe yelled, opening the bedroom door and rushing out to the kitchen sink.
Johnny went to help her, but Chloe pushed him away as she continued to puke. Johnny had to do something, something to keep Chloe from leaving. She was busy being sick, so he had the advantage to lock the front door.
Chloe didn't notice when she finally stopped and stood up straight, looking around for Johnny he wasn't anywhere in sight. This scared her, "Fuck..." Quickly, she ran to where she left her phone before she rushed to the front door, not realizing it was locked.
While Johnny wasn't in sight, she quickly put her combat boots on and went to open the door. She cussed under her breath.
Before she knew it, she was slammed against the door. Hard. She fell to the ground, slowly looking up and seeing her boyfriend standing over her before she had gone unconscious.
As Chloe had officially blacked out, Johnny let out a frustrated 'Fuck!' and started pacing in a circle for a few minutes, only stopping when he was starting to get dizzy. He looked down at Chloe again, wondering what to do. Even though he's been in this situation before with his past exes, he's always been stuck.
