The Compound Crusaders were formed by Zane Alder and Jack Chapman in 2005.

Jack had noticed that Zane spent most of his time off duty playing the guitar he had fashioned himself. Since Zane had a more than exceptional voice and Jack was a decent violinist, he suggested the two put together their talents and see where it led them.

The remaining members were added shortly after Jack and Zane began working on this idea, including Rome Vecchio (backup vocals), Rio Pasquale (drums), and Dashall Widdlesworth (flute).

The group primarily played alternative rock music. Their most popular song to date is, "Making Sunlight," written by Rio, the main lyricist in their group. Dashall handles promoting gigs or in their language jumpers. Zane is the band leader. Jack keeps track of their instruments and makes sure they are working properly while Rome handles "staging" for all their jumpers making sure everything is properly set up for their shows.

After the Clinkirk Compound liberation and new island leadership the "Compound Crusaders" were discovered by Herrick Lana who'd seen a clip of them on YouTube. Since then, Compound Crusaders have been widely famous, grossing over 150 million in profits. They are known for ending every show by singing their traditional Jumper closing song, "On the Way Out."
