Chapter 3

*Anvi Pov*

"Anvi!" I was startled and glanced up to find Jhanvi giving me a concerned look.

"Yes?" I asked while controlling my thoughts.

"I have been calling you for a few minutes. Where are you lost? Are you thinking about filling up of vacancy?" She asked frowning.

"No! You tell me!" I asked and waited for her.

"This is the menu I planned for the investors. These are the items I am best at and hence we can do this." Saying that she passed the sheet.

I glanced at the items and realized these were the best dishes of hers. I continued to stare at them and gripped the sheet tightly.

I took a deep breath and glanced at her before asking, "Can you prepare a list of special dishes that can be treated as 'Today's Special' for a week? One Special Dish for a specific day."

She paused hearing my words and gave a nod saying, "Sure! I can prepare the list and also practice to make them perfect."

"Great! Then this Menu will be our regular menu from tomorrow onwards and also a special dish will be included for every day." Saying that I noted the matter in the book on my table.

"But... but this is for the investors." She pointed out with a confused expression.

"They are not going to come anymore. Someone came yesterday and found many issues and made the investors to not come." I explained and she gave a stunned expression but immediately moved to walk around the table before hugging me tightly.

I held her hand and hugged her back closing my eyes. I took a deep breath whispering, "I am okay! Everything will be okay."

"Of course! We will make sure of it." She whispered and I smiled before letting her go.

"What are you planning to do? Are you going to contact other investors?" She asked staring at me.

"No!" I stated the decision that I was thinking about from morning after having a good cry yesterday night.

"Why?" I smiled at her and calmly explained, "I realized I was rushing too much and just putting patches everywhere to look for only investors right now. This is a wake up call as anyone could be related to the investors. So, I want to clean the hotel from the wrong people and also the wrong things that are happening. I will take time for that and then again concentrate on this."

"Then what about the house? If there is not enough amount, you can't buy back the house within a few months." She pointed out.

"I know! I want to at least keep this hotel and not lose this. The lease will end next year and I want to buy it before that or at least be capable of extending the lease period. So, I am letting it go." I explained with a calm look however she held my hand tightly.

"Due to the cyclone, the guests are extending their stay. So, I will get everything ready and from tomorrow onwards, the menu will be changed." She assured me by changing the topic and I nodded at her.

"If there is anything else, let me know." Adding that she left the cabin.

I glanced at the book where I just noted about the menu change and immediately noted down the things that need to be changed as per the words from yesterday's guest.

After noting down everything, I approached the reception and sat down beside the two receptionists.

"You both carry on your work." Saying that I took one of the phones and glanced at the room numbers with guests currently staying.
