*Anvi Pov*
"Am I the only one feeling it, Anvi?" as he asked in a calm tone, my hand trembled as those words touched something that I had been questioning from morning.
When I found out the person who caused the investors to not even come for a visit was him, I was not upset but just hurt. And that feeling shocked me as I am not in a state where I can feel hurt by anyone's actions anymore.
I have had enough of that and if I need to get everything stabilized then I need to stay away from ever feeling that again.
Was he? No! I voiced it out honestly in my heart but scared to voice it out to him. I don't want to feel weak in any way because of anyone anymore.
"Anvi?" as he called me, I stared into his eyes and realized I couldn't lie to him at the same time.
"No!" I replied hearing which he nodded as if he already knows that and leaned forward for a kiss but I pushed him back with the hand that is already pressed to his chest.
"What?" he asked with a confused look.
"Just because I am feeling it doesn't mean I want to act on it." I replied pushing him back even more.
He frowned but took a step back which brought distance between us but his hand is still at my waist and his other hand is till holding mine.
"I am not in a state for any kind of relation right now. I need to work hard on this place and be ready for next investors so that they don't reject investing without even looking at my place." I explained.
"I was not lying about this place, Anvi." He pointed out.
"I know! I know all that but it still doesn't feel right that you were that person and I need some time to adjust. Also, it is not right to be upset with you as you don't owe me anything." I said nodding at him in assurance.
"So, that's it?" he asked and when I nodded he finally let go of me.
"I apologize for stepping into your space." He added taking a few more steps away from me.
"I accept your apology, Mr. Sharma" I said nodding at him while finally controlling my heartbeat.
"You should really order your food now as the dishes will reduce after sometime, Mr. Sharma." I added checking the time.
"Don't address me like that." He asked this time in a low tone.
"I will stop when I finally get over it." I replied sitting back down on the couch and continued with my work.
He sat down on the couch beside me leaving distance and made a call to the hotel staff ordering his dinner.
I thought he will go back to his room but he continued to sit there in silence. I paused my work and glanced at him only to find him already staring at me.
"What?" I asked frowning at him and he shook his head but continued to stare.
I stared back at him for a few seconds and looked away chuckling. I cleared my throat saying, "Just because you are sitting here doesn't mean I will get over it, Mr. Sharma."
"There is no harm in trying, Ms. Joshi." I chuckled at his words and once again turned to look at him.
"Abhay! I think your dinner is here." I said hearing the doorbell ringing.
"So Fast?" he asked standing up and walked towards the door with a smile on his face.
"Here!" I glanced up seeing an ice cream bowl.
