The first trial was a test of strength. The group found themselves in a vast chamber filled with massive stone blocks, each one weighing several tons. At the center of the room was a scale, with one side heavily weighted down.
“You must balance the scale,” the Guardian’s voice echoed through the room.
Theo and Zane immediately stepped forward, trying to move one of the blocks. It didn’t budge.
“These things weigh a ton,” Theo muttered, wiping sweat from his brow.
Amelia surveyed the room, noticing a series of levers along the walls. “We’re not supposed to move the blocks by hand. We need to figure out the right combination of levers.”
The group worked together, pulling levers and watching as the blocks shifted into place. It took several attempts, but slowly, the scale began to even out.
Just as they were about to finish, the ground trembled and the walls began to close in.
“Hurry!” Grace shouted, pulling the final lever.
With a loud click, the scale balanced, and the walls stopped moving. The group breathed a collective sigh of relief as the Guardian’s voice returned.
“You have passed the Trial of Strength. Prepare for the next.”
