NINETEEN
QUEEN & GHOST
EDMONTON, ALBERTA

WHEN THE DOCTOR ARRIVED, HE HOOKED Beyoncé into an IV machine which helped her increase her hydration. They moved Beyoncé to her room for the night and forced her to lay on her side so if she threw up, she wouldn't choke. Trey sat next to her on a chair with a blanket, keeping his eyes on her. He had no intention of sleeping and instead wanted to be awake just in case anything happened. Julius and other security guards stayed in her bedroom, refusing to get any sleep as well.

When the morning arrived, his eyes fluttered open after he heard a groan. He sat up in the chair and blinked repeatedly, before making sure Beyonce was alright. She rubbed her temple and squeezed her eyes shut. Her throat was extremely dry and every time she swallowed, she felt like she was swallowing sandpaper. Her head was throbbing and it took her a second to recognize where she was.

"Hey," Trey said, cupping her cheek. "Giselle, can you hear me?"

She cursed under her breath and lifted herself, Julius walking closer to the bed. Finally, when she opened her eyes, she looked at Trey and her lips parted. Meteorites entered her mind and she wrapped her arms around him, pulling him down for a tight hug. She secured her legs around his waist, making it harder for him to leave. She began to cry into his shoulder while he soothed her, whispering sweet nothings into her ear.

"Thank you for being here," Her deep southern voice entered his ears when they broke apart.

Trey sat on the bed and moved a piece of her hair out of her face. She smiled and grabbed his hand, giving him a light squeeze. He looked down at their entangled fingers, feeling the inside of his mouth dry up. Yes, he had touched her plenty before but there was something different about this... something pure.

"Miss Knowles, Doctor Anderson will be arriving soon again," Julius admitted, holding his phone in his hand and sending her a nod. "It's good to have you awake, boss lady."

Beyoncé turned her attention back to Trey with her hand still in his. She softly smiled and suddenly there was another knock on the bedroom door. She allowed Julius to come inside and he informed her about Beyoncé's family members who were waiting for entry. After her approval, her mother and Solange walked into the presidential suite. "After Julius informed us, we came as fast as we could. We're so sorry, baby."

Solange always sent her appreciation and pulled Giselle for a hug. "Bey, what's wrong?"

"Nothing." Beyonce sighed, feeling her throat tighten. Mama Tina narrowed her eyes and raised her right eyebrow. "Giselle, I ain't raise you to be a liar."

"I'm just stressed, Mama." She finally admitted, playing with her fingers.

"About the tour?"

"About everything." She began to rub her temples. Solange's eyes traveled to the man in the corner of the room. "Trey? What are you doing here?"

"He was the one who helped me," Beyonce explained and Tina thanked him, promising to send him anything he wanted for her birthday and Christmas. Solange just sent him a grateful smile before turning her attention to her sister. Tina ran her hands through Beyoncé's locks and thanked the lord for her health.

"I'm gonna head out, give you guys some privacy," He said, gesturing to the door. Before he could turn around, he heard his name being called by the only woman who could give him butterflies.

"Trey? Thank you, again."

He nodded at her. "Take care, Giselle."
