3 WEEKS LATER, BEYONCE SMILED AS THE FRESH WIND BRUSHED against her face. She raised her hands, her white veil flowing effortlessly behind her. Kairo rested his hand on the steering wheel, continuing to drive through the empty road in the desert. After convincing Kairo to take her on a romantic road trip, she had finally gotten her wish. "Go faster."
"You've got me fucked up." He peered back at her once again just as she rested her head on the seat. After a slow and calm ride, he parked the car at the end of the empty road, tapping her thigh. Beyonce looked around, her lips stretching into a smile at the view in front of her. They were in the middle of the desert with cacti, mountains, and tumbleweed all around them. They were in the middle of nowhere just where they wanted to be for one of the most important days of their lives: away from the crowd and the media. They both wanted this, a quiet and private elopement.
"It's perfect." She stepped out of the car, her black boots digging into the beige sand. As Kairo closed his door, he ran his eyes across her short lacy white dress. The diamond necklace they had stolen sat on her neck and it looked perfect, like it had belonged there. He almost couldn't believe this was happening: today, he was getting eloped to the love of his life and the mother of his unborn child. When he stood next to her, she wrapped her arms around his neck and pulled him closer. "You ready?"
"Yeah, I'm ready." He pecked he lips, running his hand up and down her back. "Today, we are gathered here for the union of Beyonce Giselle Knowles and Kairo Verlize. Smile at the audience, baby, come on, don't be rude."
She giggled, rolling her eyes as she grabbed his leather jacket and rested her head on his chest. He chuckled, showing off his pearly white teeth. He reached into his pocket, pulling out his speech which consisted of all the vows he planned to say. He sucked in a much-needed breath. "Where do I even start? As I stand here today, I am overwhelmed by the journey that has led us to this moment. We have walked together through laughter and tears, through triumphs and trials, and with each step, my love for you has deepened in ways I never thought possible. You have been my anchor and haven when life felt like a storm. In times of joy, I will laugh with you. In times of sorrow, I will cry with you. In all things, I will stand by you unwavering and unafraid. Your happiness will be my happiness and your burdens will be mine to share. I will listen to your words and the silences between, always seeking to understand the depth of your heart."
Beyoncé's vision grew blurry and a small pout formed on her lips. Kairo rested his hand on her stomach, rubbing circles with his thumb. "And to our baby girl, Blue Ivy, with your mother's beauty, you're the prettiest thing in the world. I promise to love you not just for who you are right now, but for who you will grow to be, and every day after that. I vow to be patient with your dreams and gentle with your fears, knowing that together we are stronger than anything life can bring. My two girls, as long as I'm alive, you will always be loved and protected, for that is my greatest honor in life."
