A COUPLE DAYS LATER, TREY SAT AT HIS computer and typed on the keyboard. Since he was staying in Houston, he had booked a hotel where he set up all his hacking equipment. He was currently trying to locate his father, a task he had been trying to complete for the last couple of years. Ever since he left England, his father had disappeared off the face of the Earth but he was alive and Trey wanted to end that.

He looked at his father's bank statements which were no longer active. He tried to find his father's phone and hack into it but he couldn't locate anything. So he started coding a new software, Eagle's Eye. It'll allow him to find his father using facial recognition and satellite data.

He could still hear the words his father used to tell him. Even his name, Kade Verlize, was enough to make him flex his jaw. His death was long overdue and Trey was becoming frustrated due to his small progress in finding him.

He could still remember the night he killed everyone in the mansion. He chuckled to himself, he truly believed he was blessed to have lived through such a beautiful massacre. He hoped one day he could recreate that with Beyoncé. He believed she would love seeing so many dead bodies around them.

It had been a couple of days since he had last seen her. She was extremely busy with her fragrance coming out very soon, her tour starting up and Ivy Park planning its release. But he always managed to call her just before bed.

As far as her public image, she was still highly respected by her fans. The Beehive understood Beyoncé needed time away from the tour and believed she was most important. And no one suspected anything was wrong with Shawn because JayZ was extremely private so people just assumed he was staying back from the media.

Not that he was dead.

Trey looked at her 2016 June Vogue magazine, picking up the edition he purchased from the store. She was wearing a white satin robe with a matching bra and panties. Her blonde hair laid perfectly on her shoulders and her lips were glossed with her favorite lipgloss.

She was beautiful, a star in the night sky.

But he was lying to her and it was eating him alive. He suddenly frowned, his lips forming a hard line. She deserved to know the truth about him, something he had never told anyone. But the truth had the potential to scare her away. Once he took the mask off, she would see Trey Veretti: an understanding man who always seemed to support her. One of her truest friends.

When in reality, he was Kairo Verlize: the orphan child who never made any friends but instead, found his entertainment through ripping apart the cushion walls of the mental asylums he grew up in. He's poison. He comes from poison. He has poison inside of him, and he destroys everything he touches. That's his legacy.

His burner phone began to ring and he looked at her name for a couple of seconds. After a moment, he picked up the phone and placed it to his ear, licking his lips. Instantly, he was met with a needy mewl from Beyoncé. "Ghost."
