Chapter 1: We Are

(Arc One: Nueva Eden)

It wasn't long until Sonic and Tails got to Angel Island, the home of Knuckles The Echidna who guards the Master Emerald and being the sole survivor of the Echidna Clan. 

Angel Island was place of mystery besides being a floating island, it was home for animals and the Chao, a mystical species of fairy-like creatures that inhabit various areas on the world. They mostly resided in Sky Sanctuary; ancient, aerial temple located in the sky surrounding Angel Island. 

Tails lands Tornado, his biplane to the open space of Angel Island. After landing, Sonic and Tails jumps out of Tornado and heading to Altar of the Master Emerald where Knuckles was. While Sonic and Tails were walking to altar, Tails noticed that Sonic was quiet, too quiet. Tails was confused why and wonder what that spook Sonic was. He knew for sure; it wasn't Eggman and like usual, Sonic never shows fear to Eggman or any of their enemies like Metal Sonic, the Badniks, Zavok and his gang, or even monster like deity like Perfect Chaos, Dark Gaia and Time Eater. 

Tails' thoughts begin go deeper and deeper like swimming to the bottom of the sea. Suddenly an ominous and dark figure appeared in his mind along with memory of Sonic being shot in front of him and others who were helpless to stop the attack. 

That sinister laugh echoes his mind, making Tails shook his head in order to get away from that horrible yet gruesome memory. 

No, it can't be him. Anything than him. He anxiously thought since he knew that was last person he ever wanted to fight again.  

Mephiles. 

The only villain who managed to kill Sonic who was guard off and of course, using the powers of Ibis to bring destruction in their timeline. From what Tails knows, he tricked Silver into killing Sonic because he was the trigger where how his future got mess up. Luckily, Shadow and Blaze who was in her vacation, stops him and trying to figure out what actually happen in the future. 

It was so bad for them; Blaze nearly loses her life by destroying Iblis with her fire and using the Sol Emeralds to heal her up. Amy was kidnapped again by Eggman in order find missing pieces of Solaris through Amy for her ability to help Sonic and others to find Chaos Emeralds. And of course, Sonic losing his life when he let his guard down and causing Mephiles to rise up and bring destruction to everything. 

Thankfully, they gather the Chaos Emeralds with Master Emerald and Blaze's Sol Emeralds in order to revive Sonic through the abilities of the Emeralds and the tech that Eggman used to revive Shadow. 

Three Hedgehogs went into battle against while Blaze was off out because she used too much of her powers with Sol Emeralds to heal herself and revived Sonic, leaving her temporally tired for a while. 

Even through everything went right and the day was saved, Tails had nightmares of that day for some time. A world without his best friend, it's rather a nightmare for him. 

Suddenly, his thoughts were cut off when they heard that familiar voice shouting with frustration and annoyance, hinting embarrassment too. 

"WHAT?! The hell are you talking about, Batgirl! I didn't miss you! You're talking crazy!"

"ROUGE. CAN YOU TELL YOUR BOYFRIEND TO QUIET DOWN? HIM RAISING HIS VOICE IS RATHER DISTURBING MY SYSTEM."

"I-I'M NOT HER BOYFRIEND!"

Sonic and Tails looked at each other for moment before sighing and went where the noise was. They soon got to altar where they saw Knuckles arguing with Omega, his face was redder than usual with Rouge sighs and Shadow hanging out with Chao over the trees. Sonic goes to Rouge had her hand on her hip and giving a judgy look to Knuckles and Omega. "Hey, Rouge. I guess you guys were the first ones who got here." Sonic says, looking at Knuckles getting more frustrated by Omega's words who point that he and Rouge are in their stage of becoming lovers.
