Chapter 2: Once Upon a Dream

Sonic nearly crashes into the ground until Tails catches him and helps him lands on the ground. "Whoa! That was a close one...Thanks, Tails." Sonic nervously grins, making Tails shake his head before Knuckles gliding himself to land on his feet. It wasn't long until Team Chaotrix and Team Dark appears beside Team Sonic. 

"That was ride..." Vector said before he pats on Charmy's back who was coughing out the leaves from his mouth. He got leaves into his mouth accidentally. "There, there, Charmy." Espio comforts with a soft yet solemnly tone. "AFFIRMATIVE. WE ARE CLEARLY IN FOREST. JUDGING BY CHAOS EMERALD RADAR, THERE ARE TWO CHAOS EMERALDS HERE IN." Omega informs with his monotone voice. Tails checks his pad and agreeing with Omega. 

Rouge looks at Shadow, her eyes hinted concern for her friend. She knew Shadow's behavior been somehow tense up since Mephiles spoke to him. She was worried for him and knowing Mephiles who is a cunning and sadistic individual, she knew he would try to make Shadow suffer for his revenge. 

She didn't know what he was planning for Shadow but, she was willing to stop him. 

She didn't want her friend to get hurt. 

"Wait, where's Amy?" Sonic says after noticing that a friendly pink hedgehog girl wasn't around. Shadow notices it too and chimes in. "She's not here...Either Cream, Cheese, Blaze, and Silver." 

Sonic quickly moves fast, checking the aera they were, anxiety rose against his chest. Sonic was worried and especially with the safety of Amy, Blaze, and the others. He knows that Amy helped out the search of the Chaos Emeralds in order to relive him and Blaze using both powers of the Sol Emeralds, Chaos Emeralds, and the Master Emerald to relive him and turning him into Super Sonic.

Even Silver helped out and promise Sonic if there was trouble in his timeline, he will do what he can to help him. And of course, the sweet and innocent Cream with her pet Chao Cheese looking up to him as a hero and role model.

"No, no, no, no, no..." Sonic whispers anxiously. 

"It might be because they went after Blaze and because she is the Guardian of the Sol Emeralds and having the Sol Energy power, it might teleport them to the direction of the Sol Emeralds." Rouge says, pointing out Blaze is from the Sol Dimension and having Sol Energy instead of Chaos Energy. 

After all, the Sol Emeralds are very different from the Chaos Emeralds. 

"Sonic, they will be fine." Shadow spoke up to the worried Sonic. He turns to Shadow with concern in his green eyes. Shadow looks at him with his usual stoic expression despite he was dealing with his own worries. "Amy is stronger than you think, she knows how to take care of herself along with Cream and Cheese. As for Blaze and Silver, Blaze and Silver are strong enough to deal with multiple threats and enemies. They will be fine." Shadow confirmed, knowing well that they can take care of themselves. 

Sonic soon inhaled before exhales. "Alright, thanks, Shadow." Sonic soon turns to the others. "Let's find the Chaos Emerald and find Amy and the others. It won't be long until Mephiles figures out." Sonic had his usual determined look, earning a nod from everyone before Charmy looks around. "Hey, guys. I know we are in forest but where we are?" he asked. 

Knuckles sigh before he crossed his arms. "We don't know but we have to be careful, this is not our world, and I would suggest for everyone to stand in guard." Knuckles said and eyed on Rouge briefly. Rouge noticed it, her lips curled into a smile and gives him a wink. Knuckles burned up into a deep red color and spans his head away. "Ugh, come on, guys. L-Let's go." Knuckles begin walks away. 

"Knuckles, if I am in danger, I can always count on you saving me."

"STOP THAT, ROUGE!"

"SHADOW, FROM MY RESERCH OF THIS ROMANTIC TROPE CALLED "ENEMIES TO LOVERS", THE CHANCES OF ROUGE AND THE RED ECHIDNA BECOMING LOVERS ARE IF ONE OF THEM GETS HURT AND QUOTED "WHO DID THIS TO YOU" OR AN ANGRY CONFESSION. I CALL DIBS ON HIM PROGRESS TO THE ANGRY CONFESSION." Omega adds. Shadow titled his head before he sighs.
