Is Plusnet TV really worth it?

I know that this isn't a exactly a diary entry, but there's a story that needs to be told in it.

Firstly, it's not like me to go publicly naming and shaming any company lightly because I know what damage can come of it - but I also want to save others from going through the same thing as we are.

Plusnet will dazzle you with all the great things that you "will" get on their new tv box. They'll get you to sign on the dotted line, then they will tell you that your current internet method won't deliver their new tv package and you need to upgrade to fibre optic. They'll also tell you that you'll get your new tv box through the post "in the next few days".

The good news is that they send out a man to install the two new boxes that you need for the fibre optic broadband - and he'll reiterate that you will get your TV box in a few days.

The day after you get the fibre optic broadband installed, you'll get a call back from the guy who signed you up for the TV package - he'll be wanting to install your new TV box and package... and you'll have to tell him that he can't because you haven't had the box yet.

He'll accuse you of lying about it, then he'll tell you that he'll ring back in a few more days - he won't, mind.

You'll wait a bit longer for your box, then you give up and give them a ring to find out what is going on with it. They will pass you about for a while, then someone will tell you that your order was cancelled and they will reinstate it and you need to wait for a box coming through the post.

You hang up and wait a few more days for the box that doesn't turn up, then you ring back again. This time, you finally get someone who claims to be a supervisor. They go through all the fun and games you've already had and tell you that your order was cancelled once again.

They reinstate it again and tell you that they will ring you back on Monday when they've had a chance to talk to the guy who signed you up in the first place - they won't.

In fact, the next time you hear from them is when you get a bill for around £100 and you need to ring them again.

Way to go, Plusnet, you are "doing me very proud"
