Just how well do you know your teachers?
The school year is well underway now, and you'll have come out of the phase of celebrating getting the teachers that you wanted and commiserating the fact that you ended up with the teacher that you hate - again.
Yes, there's always at least one name that you don't want to see has been assigned to you for whatever reason.
But... What if???
What if that popular teacher that you love so much only manages to be so popular because he spends the time that he should be spending teaching you talking about his home life instead, or if he is strutting about in clothing that you know that you'd never get away with wearing on campus?
What if that unpopular teacher is drowning within? She may have gone through a nasty divorce, and not know how to rebuild her life again, she could be sick and reliant on medicine to get by or she could be living a double life and having to rush home after work each night to care for a loved one.
My point here is:- Try to be more understanding of others. Who cares if Sir just said something contradictory or if Ma'am looks about ready to fall asleep on her feet? You are there to learn, not understand every detail of your teacher's life.
Because you don't know and can't begin to understand what they are going through, at least have the decency to not judge the book by it's cover - and if you are going to leave feedback, try and do so in a way that the teacher can build upon rather than either butt kissing or tearing him or her down. We all strive to be better people.
