Remus and Peter were seated in the Gryffindor common room, talking in hushed voices about the previous night's events. Remus's cheeks were still a bit flushed, recounting the moment as he leaned in closer to Peter.
Remus: "So, we were kissing, and it was... hot, you know? Like, really hot. She's whispering all these things, 'Come on, sweetheart, take them off. So, I start to unbutton my shirt, and then-"
Peter leaned forward, eyes wide. "What happened?"
Remus took a deep breath. "And then Sirius walks in."
Peter's jaw dropped. "Oh, Merlin, her brother walked in? What did you do?"
Remus ran a hand through his hair, still mortified at the memory. "What could I do? I was standing there, half-undressed, and she just turns to him, all calm, and says, 'Care to knock next time, Sirius?' Like it was no big deal!"
Remus ran a hand through his hair, still looking a bit flushed as he recounted the previous night’s events. “You should’ve seen her face. I mean, she tried to act like nothing was happening, but Sirius was not buying it.”
Peter’s eyes widened as he leaned in closer. “What did he do? Did he hex you? Did he hex her?”
Remus shook his head. “No, he just...stood there. Glaring at me like he was trying to decide if he should murder me or make some joke about it. Regula—she just shoved me off the bed and told him to get out.”
Peter let out a low whistle. “Merlin’s beard, mate. You’re brave, messing around with the Black family’s darling little princess. I mean, I know you like danger, but—”
Remus sighed. “It’s not about the danger, Pete. There’s just...something about her. Regula is not like the others. She’s more than just a pretty face and a Black family name. She’s… real.” His voice softened as he spoke, the fondness evident.
Peter crossed his arms, raising an eyebrow. “Yeah, well, Sirius won’t see it that way. I’d watch your back if I were you.”
As if summoned by his name, the door to the Gryffindor common room swung open, and Sirius Black strode in with a look of annoyance on his face. He fixed his gaze directly on Remus. “So, are we going to talk about how you’re snogging my baby sister behind my back, Moony?”
Remus felt his cheeks heat up again. “Sirius, it’s not—”
“It’s not what?” Sirius cut him off, his voice rising. “It’s not serious? It’s not like you were in her bed last night? Because I’m pretty sure I saw exactly what was going on.” His eyes darkened as he folded his arms across his chest.
Before Remus could answer, Regulus herself appeared in the doorway, looking unfazed as ever, her dark hair cascading down her shoulders. She gave Sirius a sharp look. “Stop being so dramatic, Sirius. I’m not some damsel who needs you to protect her from boys. Especially not Remus.”
Sirius’ gaze softened slightly as he looked at his sister. “I’m just looking out for you, Reggie,” he said, his voice quieter. “You know how things can get…complicated.”
Regula tilted her head, a small smirk playing on her lips. “Well, maybe I like complicated.”
Remus couldn’t help but smile at that, even though he knew this was only the beginning of the trouble.
