Title: Distractions in the History of Magic

In the dim, dusty light of the History of Magic classroom, Professor Binns droned on about goblin rebellions with no hope of keeping anyone's attention. At the back of the room, Evan Rosier sat hunched over his desk, scrawling on a half-finished crossword puzzle, while Regulus Black leaned over his shoulder, clearly more invested in the puzzle than in the lesson.

Evan tapped his quill on the parchment, deep in thought. "I need a nine-letter word for disappointment," he muttered, squinting at the half-filled boxes.

Regulus’s expression twisted into an amused smirk. He tilted his head thoughtfully, then deadpanned, "Marauders."

Evan stared at him, then his face lit up with surprised delight. “...It fits!”

Regulus shrugged, a ghost of a smile flickering across his lips as he looked away, acting as if he hadn’t just subtly insulted his brother and his insufferable friends in the most satisfying way possible. The two exchanged a silent look of mischief, reveling in their private joke, as Binns droned on, blissfully unaware.
