Here’s Part 7, Shielding the Heir Black

---

The arrival of the triplets at Hogwarts was a spectacle. Astrophel, Hydrus, and Castor Black-Slytherin, Regula’s younger siblings, had grown taller over the summer and were ready for their first year. Despite their excitement, the overbearing love and protection from Regula and Sirius had become a constant source of irritation.

"Can we please just go without being hovered over for once?" Astrophel grumbled, trying to pull away from Sirius's overbearing arm around his shoulders.

Sirius, now a seasoned Auror and a man who had seen much in the wizarding world, was still the big brother who couldn’t help but look out for his younger siblings. "If you think I'm letting you go to that school without a bit of protection, you're mad," he replied, grinning down at Astrophel.

Regula, now a professional Quidditch player and fiercely independent, shared the same sentiment but was far more diplomatic. "Sirius, let them have a little space. They’re going to be fine."

Her words were followed by a soft laugh from James, now her husband. He leaned over and whispered, "You got your hands full, don't you?"

"Don’t even start," Regula warned, though the playful smile on her lips betrayed the affection in her voice. As the two made their way to the Sorting Hat ceremony, Sirius, Remus, and their other friends watched, their eyes glowing with pride for Regula.

The Sorting Hat ceremony was a quick blur for the triplets, who each took their turn sitting under the ancient hat.

Astrophel was sorted into Gryffindor, just like his older brother Sirius, much to their parents' chagrin. The boy had a bold spirit and a sense of justice that couldn’t be ignored. The Sorting Hat had grumbled as it placed him in Gryffindor, much to his surprise, but he wore it with pride.

Hydrus, on the other hand, was placed in Slytherin, much like Regula, following the family tradition with a fierce, cunning drive to make his own mark. The Hat had barely settled on his head before declaring it.

Castor, the quietest of the triplets, was also placed in Slytherin, though it had taken a bit more time for the Sorting Hat to settle on the right house. He had ambition, but it was tempered with a keen intellect and a deep desire for knowledge, traits that suited the house of Slytherin well.

As the Sorting Hat ceremony concluded, Regula stood proudly beside her brothers, watching them join their respective houses.

Years passed quickly. Regula and Sirius had already graduated from Hogwarts, their paths diverging yet somehow still intertwined. Sirius, now a respected head Auror, had a reputation for always getting the job done—no matter the cost. Remus Lupin, his husband, had finally found peace and fulfillment in his life after years of hardship, and they worked together at the Ministry, with Sirius running the Auror office while Remus worked with magical creatures.

Regula, on the other hand, had soared to the top of the professional Quidditch league. Her skill as a Seeker had made her an instant star, and she was the face of the most successful team in the league. Though fame and fortune had come easily to her, it had not come without a cost—particularly the ever-watchful eyes of her family.

---

Her wedding to James Potter was a magical affair, held at Black Manor, with all the pomp and ceremony that the Black-Slytherin family could muster. Sirius had tried, unsuccessfully, to hide his tears during the ceremony. "She’s grown up too fast," he muttered to Remus, who chuckled softly.

James, standing at the altar with a proud smile, had barely managed to hold his composure when Regula approached, her gown shimmering under the enchanted candles. The two exchanged vows, and the wedding was nothing short of a fairytale, much to the delight of their family.

But even in the joy of the occasion, Regula could feel the ever-present protection of her family. Her father, Orion Black, and Marvolo Gaunt Slytherin were seated at the front, eyes sharp as they observed every guest. Sirius and Remus kept their protective watchful eyes on her, and even the triplets, though younger, made sure that no one stepped too far out of line.

"You look like you’re about to hex someone," James whispered to Regula, as he noticed her scanning the room.

Regula smirked. "I can’t help it. It’s in the blood. I’m always on edge when my family’s involved."

Later, as the newlyweds took their leave, Regula glanced back at the crowd, her gaze locking with Sirius’s across the hall. He gave her an exaggerated thumbs-up, and she couldn't help but laugh.

Her family might be overprotective, but deep down, Regula knew that their love for her was unwavering. It was a strange, complicated mix of pride, fear, and devotion, but it was theirs.

And despite everything, she wouldn’t have it any other way.

Ad this all started over her protectiveness......
