"i'm so sorry i forgot," blaise groans, rubbing his face with frustration.

"right! you forgot because you were with your best friends and those random girls," y/n snaps, grabbing her pajamas from his drawer. "it's not like i reminded you every few hours or anything. but hey, i hope you got a girl's number," she adds, throwing a cutting glance his way as she gathers her things to head back to her dorm.

"y/n, stop. i didn't get anyone's number, i swear." his voice softens, reaching out in desperation. "i'm sorry i forgot our date. let me make it up to you. spend my money, hit me, anything... just please don't leave me," he pleads.

"no. i don't even want to look at you right now," she says coldly, zipping up her bag. blaise reaches out to grab her hand, but she yanks it away before he can touch her.

"don't. touch. me." her voice is deadly calm.

"please, baby...i'm so sorry," he murmurs, his voice breaking.

"blaise," she says, turning back to him. her tone is softer, but her expression remains guarded as she holds her hand up to stop him from speaking. "i'll talk to you tomorrow after all my classes. right now, i just want to punch you—badly. but i won't. just... go to sleep."

he sighs, his shoulders sagging. "i love you," he whispers as she leaves.

without looking back, y/n walks out of his dorm, slamming the door behind her. blaise throws a pile of books to the floor in frustration. meanwhile, y/n is heading up the stairs to the girls' dormitory when two girls, dressed provocatively, come down the stairs, blocking her path.

"excuse you," she growls, trying to move past them.

"um, sorry?" y/n mutters, attempting to brush past them, but a blonde girl steps in front of her.

"wait—aren't you friends with blaise?" the blonde asks, smirking.

y/n narrows her eyes, giving her a cold side-eye. "um, i'm not friends with him."

"is he single? if he has a girlfriend, she's going to be so upset when she finds out he left with me," the blonde sneers, exchanging a laugh with her friend.

y/n feels her face heat up, her anger boiling over. "guess what," she says, voice dripping with sarcasm as she drops her things and grabs the blonde's hair, yanking her down the stairs and throwing her to the ground.

"what the fuck is your problem!" the blonde shouts as all eyes turn to them.

"i'm the girlfriend," y/n snaps, her eyes blazing.

the blonde's eyes widen in shock. "why you—you're so fuc—" she starts, but y/n cuts her off by lunging forward, throwing punch after punch. the blonde attempts weak hits in return, but y/n doesn't hold back, landing blows with precision. suddenly, she feels strong arms pulling her away.

"y/n! oh my god," a familiar voice says. she turns to see blaise, his face a mix of shock and concern. draco is helping the blonde girl up, while y/n tries to go after her again, only for blaise to hold her firmly.

"stop!" he commands. finally, she calms down as mattheo gathers her scattered belongings from the stairs.

"she's a psycho!" the blonde shrieks, blood dripping from her nose.

"and you're a bitch," y/n retorts, as blaise drags her away, leading her back to his dorm. thankfully, it's just near the entrance.

"thanks, mattheo," blaise says, taking y/n's things from him. mattheo nods and leaves them alone.

y/n sits on his couch in silence, refusing to look at him as blaise grabs a first-aid kit. he pulls up a chair and sits in front of her, neither saying a word as he begins to tend to the small cut on her lip. after a few quiet moments, he speaks.

"what happened?" he asks gently, dabbing her lip with a cotton pad.

she doesn't respond, her face still tense with anger.

"still not talking to me?" he tries again, tossing the cotton pad away. she glares at him, her hair disheveled and her expression defiant.

he leans back, crossing his arms as his eyes soften. "y/n, talk to me."

she lets out a frustrated sigh. "she asked if you were single and basically said she'd take you away from me. i got mad, so..." she shrugs, trailing off.

blaise sighs. "y/n, you can't just go around beating people up. be grateful no professors were there," he says, his voice firm.

"of course you'd defend her," y/n scoffs, standing up as if to leave, but blaise quickly stands too.

"sit down. i wasn't done talking," he says firmly, and she rolls her eyes before sitting back down with a huff.

"look at me," blaise says. reluctantly, she meets his gaze.

"i love you so much, and i don't want you getting hurt. she had no right to say what she did, and i'm sorry for earlier. you still have every right to be upset with me, but i want to make it up to you," he whispers, his tone sincere.

she sighs, rubbing her forehead. "it's fine. i'm sorry for acting like this."

"don't apologize. i'm the one who should be apologizing," he tells her gently.

a small smile tugs at her lips, and he leans in to press a soft kiss to her forehead.

"i love you, mamas," he murmurs.

"i love you too," she replies softly.
