My back hits the mattress, a long tired sigh leaving my lips. Today has been such a long day after the situation with Freen and the those bitchy men. I lift my bandaged hand up in the air that Freen wrapped around earlier. Sometimes I don't get her. One moment we were hating one another like we wanted to rip each other's head off.
But now?
I've agreed to be her friend to get her to shut up. What the fuck is happening to me? Why did I agree so easily? It could literally be a trap.
I look up at the ceiling, today's events spiralling in my mind. The way Freen looked when those men pinned her. The fear in those boba eyes of hers. It settled something inside me. Something that shouldn't be there.
Something that makes me feel protective.
It shouldn't.
But it does.
I mean my whole life I've been alone -except for Irin- But apart from her, I've always felt this loneliness even if she's always been around. Like I just can't tell her what's on my mind. That's my father's fault.
One of his rules.
Never show vulnerability to ANYONE
And since then, that's stuck in my mind like an annoying fly. Made me become untrustworthy of people I've never met.
But Freen?
She's so different. Someone I feel like I can trust if she says so. And it's pathetic I know. I am pathetic at the end of the day.
But the way she makes me feel safe... The way she wrapped the bandage around my hand gently. The way she ran to the nearest pharmacy for me.
Gosh I'm overthinking. I know I shouldn't be. I'm literally allowing myself to go deep in this forbidden cave that many have warned and told me not to go into.
She's my friend.
I'm her friend.
Yeah... that's that.

-School-
Rain pours down, hitting against the windows
like hail stones. All students rush into the school, coats hovering over their heads to try and cover them from the wet. The sky a pale and horrible grey colour.
It's rainy season in Bangkok. One of the worst times. I rush towards the school quickly. I didn't even bring an umbrella. Stupid Freen!
I make it inside, shaking off the water like a wet dog.
"Freen!" I look to see none other than...Nam. Great. I sigh deeply, running my fingers through my hair. "What Nam?" I ask impatiently. I just want to go to my homeroom.
For no one specifically of course.
Just because I want to..
Nam scoffs, her arm going around my shoulder, pulling me close. "Can't I see my best friend?" She asks innocently, squeezing me slightly. I roll my eyes in annoyance, pushing her off me. "What do you really want?"
She grumbles before speaking. "Fine. You've got me. I want to know what happened last night. Between you and Rebecca." Her response makes heat flush against my cheeks. The whole entire night after Rebecca brought me home, I was thinking about the way she fought those men off. I never thought she could be so protective.
I snap out of it immediately. Get yourself together Freen! This is not meant to be apart of the plan!
I shake my head at my disgusting thoughts, turning back to Nam who watches me with a smirk. "Nothing, she did come to the alleyway. Nothing special." I speak up, trying to stay nonchalant but the way I spoke fast says otherwise. Not that I'd admit it though.
