After that whole dinner incident that happened a few days back, I've made sure to keep my distance from Freen at school.

Every time I see her walk in the same corridor as me, I make sure to walk past her quickly. And though it's hard when it comes to our homeroom since she's decided to sit next to me, I make sure to either sleep throughout the whole time there or keep my eyes on the front and not look in her direction at all.

You're probably wondering why I'm ignoring her presence all of a sudden.
Well... let's just say it's not my choice, it was my father's of course.
Right after we arrived home after that horrible dinner with the Chankimhas, he specifically told me not to talk or get into any trouble with Freen. And so, I've kept my promise. I don't want to anger him more. He's been in a pissed off mood since that night.

"Beck!" Irin nudges me. I snap out of it before turning to look at her. Right now, we are eating lunch in the cafeteria and chatting about some random things that ain't really important.

Well... I guess that was until my thoughts took over.

"What's up with you? Did you listen to anything I just said?" Irin asks as she stuffs her mouth full of her sandwich. I raise an eyebrow before shaking my head and taking a sip of my milk tea.

"Nope." I bluntly say which makes her groan in frustration. "Well as I was saying..." She starts before leaning close. "Looks like Chankimha can't take her eyes off you." Irin playfully exclaims as she looks in her direction.
I furrow my eyebrows in confusion before looking where Irin points.

And she ain't wrong.
Freen is sat at her table with her friends. Though her friends chat and laugh about dumb things, Freen is staring right into this direction.

And right at me.

"What's her problem?" I ask Irin who just shrugs as she takes another mouthful of her food.
I stare right back, hoping she'll look away after she notices that she's got caught.
But she doesn't.
She locks eye contact with me. Just like at the dinner. But I catch no smugness in her eyes like I usually do.
It's more like....... curiosity.

Strange....

"Damn, I can feel the tension from here." Irin's words snap me out of it as I turn to look at her once more which she has a massive smirk on her face. "What you on about? There's no tension." I snap back defensively. Irin just chuckles and raises her hands in surrender. "Okay, okay chill. Whatever you say." I groan at her response before taking massive sips of my milk tea, biting the straw before sneaking a look back at Freen to see her staring directly at me again as she takes a sip of her water.

Seriously what is her problem?
And why do I wanna keep staring back?

Okay what the fuck am I thinking? I stand up abruptly making Irin raise an eyebrow in confusion. "I just." I sigh deeply. "I'll be back. I'm heading to the restroom." I say and I walk off before she can say anything else.
