CHIRP, CHIRP, CHIRP
The birds chirped happily outside Aria's living room window as she sat on her couch, waiting for Agatha to need her again. It had already been 45 minutes and she still hadn't gotten an answer from the older woman.
In a way, Aria was somewhat relieved. She knew she had to save her mom and couldn't back out because she was scared. So, all she could do was wait—wait until Agatha needed her once more, and wait until she could cause pain to yet another member of the Maximoff family.
All of a sudden, she heard two familiar young voices from outside.
"Mom! Mom! Mom, help us!" Tommy yelled, fear trembling in his tone.
"Mom! Help!" Billy screamed, his tone echoing the same urgency.
They continued calling out as both Aria and Wanda rushed out of their houses. Aria stopped in her tracks when her eyes landed on the boys, who were clutching their necks as purple strands of magic wrapped around them.
Agatha's outfit had changed from her usual modern getup to messy hair and a blue and purple flowy dress that had purple strings of power surrounding the skirt as she levitated off of the ground behind the boys.
Wanda stopped in her tracks, too as she stared at the woman she once called her best friend choke her twin boys.
"I know what you are," Agatha spoke before Billy screamed for his mom again, only leading to Agatha pulling both him and his brother back in response, choking them further.
Wanda took a few urgent steps further, red balls of magic forming in her palms with a panicked look plastered on her face. "It's okay, baby. It's okay," Wanda spoke, fear riddling her tone.
"You have no idea how dangerous you are. You're supposed to be a myth, a being capable of spontaneous creation," Agatha began explaining as she continued to choke the 10-year-old boys. "And here you are, using it to make breakfast for dinner," Agatha continued, her tone turning to one of disappointment.
"Let go of my children," Wanda demanded, the fear in her tone turning to one of determination and anger.
"Oh, yes. Your children," Agatha began with a witty smirk. "And vision, and this whole little life you've made. This is chaos magic, Wanda. And that makes you The Scarlet Witch,"
Aria's brows furrowed in confusion as she stared at the woman. "Because her powers are red? That's kind of on the nose, don't you think?" Aria asked.
Agatha chuckled amusingly as she looked at the young girl, "You're so uneducated, dear,"
"Am not!" Aria's face scrunched up at the offensive comment with crossed arms. However, the comedic conversation was cut short when Tommy tried to persuade Agatha to let go of them.
"Get off me! Let go of my brother!" Tommy cried out, still clutching his neck.
"My powers still work out here, or did you forget?" Wanda spoke, the anger and determination spilling from her tone, along with her accent slightly shining through once again.
"Oh, dear. I'm counting on it," Agatha spoke, now on the ground And the boys attempted to run to their mother but were quickly yanked back when Agatha pulled on the magical strings coming out of her hands.
"No!" Wanda yelled as the red balls of magic flew toward Agatha, sending her to the ground and causing her to let go of the boys.
"Agatha!" Aria ran to the woman's side, kneeling beside her to ensure her safety.
Aria completely blocked out the families arguing in the background when Agatha smirked at Aria before she returned to her feet in a witchy way. Aria's eyes widened at the way that Agatha stood up, completely in awe.
