“Oh?! You’re Park Jihoon, right?” Ryujin, who is right behind Hyunsuk asked. “You attended Nara Middle School, right?”

“Yes,” Jihoon said.

“I’m Shin Ryujin. I attended Nara Middle School as well. And I’m pretty sure I saw you at Bitna High School as well before I moved overseas,” Ryujin said. “And this is Choi Hyunsuk. He also attended the same school,”

“Yes. I know,” Jihoon said. “I’m just quite surprise that you know me,”

“Well. You’re in the same class as Hyunsuk in 10th grade. I remember going to his class and seeing you there. You’re the class representative that time, right?” Ryujin asked. Jihoon just nodded.

“What’s going on?” Yujin asked after she walked closer. “Do you know them?”

“Ah.. They-”

“I’m Shin Ryujin. And this is Choi Hyunsuk. We attended the same middle school as Jihoon,” Ryujin stretched out her hand to Yujin for a hand shake. Yujin took her hand.

“Ahn Yujin. Nice to meet you,” Yujin said.

“I went overseas in my high school year and have been away since then. I just came back here a few days ago,” Ryujin said. “What are you doing here?”

“My dad’s birthday is near and Jihoon asked me to help me buy something,” Yujin said.

“You buy things for you more than for your dad,” Jihoon mumbled. Yujin slapped Jihoon’s arm after hearing that.

“Hey. We’re going to get dinner. Wanna join us?” Yujin asked. “I know a delicious place that sales BBQ and chicken around here,”

“I’m sure they already have a plan, Yujin-ah,” Jihoon said. Who the hell will eat together with someone they just met?

“Sure,” Ryujin said. “You don’t have anything to do after this, right Suk-ah?”

Suk-ah??? Jihoon mentally rolled his eyes even though he knows himself that he has no right to feel like that. Jealousy. Maybe.

“Are they okay with us joining?” Hyunsuk asked.

“It’s fine. The more the merrier. Let’s go,” Yujin said before she clinged on Ryujin’s arm and walked ahead. Jihoon sighed at Yujin’s attitude.

“She’s a bright girl,” Hyunsuk commented. Jihoon looked at Hyunsuk.

“I’m sorry for bothering your date,” Jihoon said.

“What date? We are so ready to go home already,” Hyunsuk said before he followed Yujin and Ryujin. Jihoon still stands there, watching Hyunsuk’s back that’s slowly getting further. There’s a small part of him that wants to just run to Hyunsuk and hug him. Even though they see each other almost everyday during classes, Jihoon can’t help but to miss him.

“Get it together, Park Jihoon,” he told himself before following their steps. They went to a restaurant far from the mall they met at. Jihoon stared at Yujin who’s sitting right in front of him. Ryujin sits beside Yujin and Hyunsuk is in front of Ryujin, right next to Jihoon. Jihoon still stared at Yujin, who he’s sure noticed that he has been sending a death stare at her for inviting someone who she just met for dinner. And that someone who she just met happens to be Hyunsuk and Ryujin.

“The meat here is good. The honey lemon chicken as well,” Yujin said.

“They had a lot on the menu,” Ryujin said while flipping the menu booklet.

“Order what you want to. I’m buying,” Yujin said.

“Really? You don’t really have too though,” Ryujin said.
