Hyunsuk tidied up his stuff. He looked at the time on his watch. His last class for today has already ended. He also has rescheduled all of his appointments for today to another time. Because he will meet Jihoon for the discussion of their assignment. Hyunsuk took out his phone. There’s no messages for Jihoon. How can he know where to meet up? He opened the messaging application.
Jihoon said that he will be discharged today if there’s no problem with his condition. But Jihoon still has not told him anything.
“Ah! His phone was broken,” Hyunsuk just recalled that Jihoon’s phone is broken after seeing the messages that he sent to Jihoon that Jihoon hasn’t read yet.
Hyunsuk suddenly gets anxious. What if Jihoon purposely set their appointment to today without even having anything to communicate with on purpose. So he can make Hyunsuk wait for him.
But Jihoon kissed him yesterday. It doesn’t look like Jihoon is playing with him or anything. But there are still possibilities. After what he had done to Jihoon, and after Jihoon knew how Hyunsuk was that worried for him, Jihoon probably wanted to take revenge by playing with his feelings.
Well. He deserved it after what he had done without thinking of Jihoon’s feelings. Or any other people’s feelings.
But for today, they really need to have their discussion. They need to actually be professional and put aside the revenge thingy as it’s their actual assignment they are going to discuss about. So, what should Hyunsuk do in this situation?
Should he just go to the hospital and make sure if Jihoon has already been discharged or not? Should he have asked the workers at the convenience store about it? What if it’s not Seunghee or Dohoon? The other workers might think of him as a stalker. Or should he go to Jihoon’s place just to make sure?
“I should get him a new phone,” Hyunsuk told himself. He walked out of the college while still thinking about what he should do first. But it seems like he can just stop thinking about it already as he saw Jihoon standing in front of the gate.
Jihoon is currently wearing a black hoodie, leaning against the lamp pole while playing with his phone. Hyunsuk is quite surprised to see Jihoon there. It’s the thing he expected the least for Jihoon to wait for him. But wait! He already had his phone?
Hyunsuk took out his phone and called Jihoon. Jihoon answered his call.
“Oh? Choi Hyunsuk,”
“Why didn't you tell me that you already had a phone?” Hyunsuk asked while walking toward Jihoon. Jihoon looked around and saw Hyunsuk walking toward him. Hyunsuk ended the call as Jihoon already noticed him and is currently walking toward him. “You can just text me, you know?”
“Ah. I just got it on my way here. I was about to text you,” Jihoon said before he showed Hyunsuk his new phone. “See? I’m just setting things up. I haven't even sync it with my email yet. I don't have any numbers saved. And you're the first one who called me after I turned on this new phone,”
“And how the hell did you know it was me calling?” Hyunsuk asked.
“I memorized your phone number,” Jihoon answered while grinning. Hearing Jihoon's answer somehow makes Hyunsuk feel something that he can't even explain. “So.. where should we go?”
“Did you bring your materials?” Hyunsuk asked.
“Yeah. I got it here with me,” Jihoon pointed at the tote bag that he's carrying. “I went home first after I got discharged,”
“I left my materials at home. Is it okay if we do our discussion at my place?” Hyunsuk asked.
“Sure. Anywhere is fine,” Jihoon said.
