Chapter Eight

The Wings of Hope Foundation celebrates its annual charity ball. Founded by none other than Katherine Anderson, Gregory's beloved beautiful wife.

Ralph Anderson, one of Gregory and Katherine's children. His wife Elizabeth is the current CEO of the said foundation. The lovely couple walks into the grand ballroom.

"Mother, I think we broke our record for ticket sales this year," Elizabeth says to Katherine.

Katherine feels happy and smiles. "Oh, Elizabeth! That's wonderful! This foundation means so much to so many. I can't believe how far we've come."

In the distance, Gregory Anderson, dressed in a bespoke tuxedo, joins them, a broad smile on his face.

Gregory flashes a grin. "And it's only getting bigger. Look at this turnout! Sometimes I think we should call it the "Wings of the Rich" instead."

Katherine chuckles. "And I thought hoarding wealth was just a myth."

Elizabeth looks at her husband as she sees  her son David who has just arrived at the event.

"I am happy to know that you have taken David on your business trip to China," Gregory says.

Ralph looks at his father. "I want him to learn the hard way."

Elizabeth glances at her son and sees Sean.

"I just hope that we will have a peaceful party for cause tonight," Gregory's looking at Sean and David.

"Oh c'mon darling, have a little faith!" Katherine holds her husband's arm. "I know for sure that my two handsome grandsons will be behaving tonight."

Ralph and Elizabeth just smile.

Sean looks around.

Scarlett walks to his son and fixes his bow tie. "I thought you would be bringing someone tonight."

Sean smirks. "I have other plans."

Scarlett raises an eyebrow. "As long as that plan of yours doesn't involve any mockery and punches, dear brother."

David walks to Caroline.

"How are you?"asks Caroline.

"I'm good...for now." David answers.

Nicole arrive together with her family.

Sean smirks. "Now she has arrived."

Scarlett turns around and sees Nicole.

Sean smiles and walks closer to the Walkers.

David sees the male server coming closer to him and snatch a glass of champagne.

"Is that how you fight, David?" Caroline challenge his brother.

David smiles. "I'll keep my distance for tonight, Caroline."

Charles sees Ralph and walks to him.

Caroline whispers to David. "One fact, do you know that Charles Walker and our father goes to Harvard at the same time?"

David furrows his eyebrows. "College school mate?"

"It's more than that. They're both members of the same fraternity group. There was even a rumor that Charles used to date, Mom." Caroline tells David.

David chuckles. "It makes sense."

"You look stunningly beautiful." Sean compliments Nicole.
