           (Narrator's POV)
The early night was cold, cloudy and eerie. The only sounds aside from the low voice of a man on a call being the insects and occasional flapping of bat wings, owls hooting from time to time.

This man being none other than David Smith, stood by a tree stump at the treeline of a meadow in a least explored part of the forest, waiting patiently after ending his phone call.

Unbeknownst to him, he's not the only one out here in the woods tonight.

Amidst the trees, a lone figure covered head to toe in black clothing is pearched high in the branches, making not a single sound nor movement, going completely unnoticed by the unsuspecting man below.

Hours passed like this until 10pm, movement rustled in the distant trees across the meadow before a small group of 10 men with large bags emerged, trudging across the meadow towards David.

"This way." Said David, turning around and leading them deeper into the forest. The walk was silent, the crunch of leaves under multiple footsteps audible to the surroundings as they followed a winding path til David had them stop at a hut shrouded in large branches and thick bushes.

Click. Pulling a branch like a lever, a old wooden door was unlocked. David pushed it open and hunched over a bit to get in the hut, the interior revealing a dug up cramped bunker organized with various cases and trunks. Opening a large trunk on the left, he starts to distribute various items, large and small, some covered in cloth and others in cases.

The men fill up the large bags for half an hour until David finally hands over a small lunchbox fashioned case to the leading man amongst the group of whom opens it for a quick inspection of what's inside before nodding as he closed it and signals the guy at his right to hand over the medium black briefcase in hand.

David receives the case, taking a quick look inside as the leading man says gruffly, "There it is, 500 000 dollars in total as promised.", "Pleasure doing business, as usual." Replied David, closing up the hut and tucking the briefcase under his arm before escorting the men all the way back to the meadow from before.

Along the way, the last man in the group stumbled slightly, drawing the others attention, "What's happening, Mark? Any problems?", "Nothin', boss. Just walked against some thorns, nothing serious." Earning a few dismissive sighs as they continue on.

Going their separate ways, the men disappear through the way they came, leaving David to venture back to the main path out of the woods. Only a few meters left til he reaches the main path and he's suddenly tackled by a dark figure looking to have come from up in the trees.

The collision knocking the wind out of the middle-aged man as he's sent to the ground harshly, given not even a chance to get up as the figure pins him down with unnatural ease and takes a jab at his neck. The last thing he sees before losing consciousness are terrifying grey eyes that seem to shimmer in the pitch darkness.

         (Azira's POV)
'This is exhausting. Being around a bunch of high school kids all day, learning shit i already know, dealing with boring teachers and worst of all time moves so slow.' I sigh as I reach my locker after a class.

It's sunny today so the Cullens aren't here, 'Unfortunately..' my hand pauses on a book at that thought, catching myself off guard with these emotions i normally don't feel. Taking my book out of my locker before closing it, I head to my next class and sit through it deep in thought.

'Attachment? No. It's too connected and positive to be just that, is it really Love? Nah, too soon.' these feelings are strange, my thoughts clouded over trying to make sense of them. Aware it's not exactly romantic love but it's not entirely platonic either.

'Let's see, do I have any particular feelings for each of them? Hm... Alice is too energetic for my personal tastes.. but, she does give me a sense of validation I never expected, I just wish she didn't rely on her visions so much despite knowing they aren't always definite..'

Writing down a few notes to look like I'm paying attention to the lesson as I dive deeper into analyzing my feelings. 'Emmett is a little too carefree for my lifestyle and a bit too rowdy.. but he's genuine and supportive, fun and a great teddy bear..'

'Esme is honestly sweet and wholesome, I have no opinion on her behavior but I wish she could express what she wants more..' arriving at that thought, I pack my books as the bell goes off. Moving as though on auto pilot as I leave the class still seriously thinking.

Lunch time and I decide to eat outside, 'Rosalie is really straight up and I like her unapologetic personality, but her inability to let of rage and fully heal her mind is really concerning..' biting into my apple, I glance over the surrounding,

'Carlisle is a good listener and almost as wholesome as Esme, plus he has good skills when it comes to being fair with others.. though I still think his universal compassion is gonna get him killed one of these days..- damn that guy's cringe' i think to myself at the end as I catch the conversation at the Swan girl's table talking about going to La push or something.

'Speaking of cringe, Edward fits the bill a little too perfectly. Broody, a little immature in decisions, undecided and incapable of handling stress. I might be thinking all day if I go on.. but, he's romantic, I'll give him that. It's like he has a midlife crisis every interaction and it's kinda cute when he overthinks.. biggest issue would be how he insistently views himself as a monster for doing things many wish they could do if they could. Dork.'

Finishing my food, I decide to ditch school. Getting my bag after heading back inside, I leave the school building directly with help of my force shield, 'good thing i didn't come with my car today..' along my leisurely walk, I keep analyzing my thoughts.

'Speaking of overthinkers and self haters, no one does it like Jasper. I honestly with i could get in his head and erase whatever little voice makes him believe he's a monster. His life sounds so tough for his time, a soldier at a young age groomed to fight in a war and be a weapon for others, suddenly becoming a vampire and continuing the life of being manipulated as a weapon.. too relatable to me..'

Thinking about Jasper, an odd sense of familiarity tinges my heart, something I've never felt ever. A brief moment of my past flashes before my eyes before I shake it away, 'Strong, that he is. Yet, he hasn't lost himself, despite all he's been through.. he deserves this freedom, the family he's found and the love he's experienced. Guess I have a liking for gentlemen, hm..'

Getting home, I finally arrive at a conclusion and make a decision for this supernatural circumstance going forward. Planning to make it permanent and put my full intention into it.
