Azira Grey is a '17' year old polite young lady, not a pushover nor what one may call 'kind' but overall still polite. A lady of mystery, no one knows much about her yet they never do get the urge to get curious, she carries herself with a subtle, c...
(Narrator's POV) Prom night arrived quickly, excitement buzzed in the air as the students of Forks high school chattered away and danced to the music, some coming with their dates while others attend with friends, all dressed in various nice attires suiting their tastes and varying desires to stand out or not.
Bella and Edward can be seen slow dancing in the gazebo, holding each other close as they sway to the melody of the slow song playing outside, the other two couples in the gazebo taking their leave after awhile.
Meanwhile back inside, the other Cullen kids are enjoying their time together in the lively atmosphere, looking around and at the entrance expectantly from time to time. Each having tried to ask Azira to prom but ended up arguing over who got to go with her and have the first dance, this of course ended with Azira scolding all four of them and telling them to wait for her at prom, then she'd take turns dancing with each of them which leads to now, all four Cullens now anxiously await their shared mate.
(Azira's POV) 'Looks lively in there.. so boring.' Sighing to myself as I walk towards the entrance of the main room used for prom tonight. Not paying much attention to the loud chatter and wayward activities of the many students buzzing around.
Having only bit of makeup on with black eyeshadow and my hair tied back in a ponytail with wavy curls, I figure my dress is what makes me stand out most given the stares I'm receiving here and there. 'Could they atleast pretend not to stare? It's not my fault this was the most low key dress I had for events in my wardrobe..'..

My eyelid twitches slightly with the efforts to not glare or look mean in certain people's direction, mentally noting to buy some new, more casual clothes for different event types. Looking around briefly, i soon spot Emmett first who's looking my way with a dopey grin accompanied by Rosalie, both looking amazing and I can already tell that Rosalie picked their outfits.
I wave and make my way over to them but halfway there, I'm stopped by Alice and Jasper who pop out of seemingly nowhere and I sigh as Alice pulls me into a tight hug while commenting, "Azira, you're finally here, we were getting impatient. You look stunning, is this dress a custom design? It's so pretty.", "Sorry to keep you all waiting, had to make sure Jelly enough food and water for the night and my hair took some time style." I respond with a calm smile as Alice pulls away from the hug, giving Jasper room to take my hand and kiss the back of it with a bow,
"We're just glad you're finally here, we missed you. Lookin' lovely tonight, Darlin'." His southern drawl seeps into his speech as he meets my gaze and for a moment I feel that weird flutter in my heart again, once he let's go of my hand, I chuckle as Emmett comes up and gives me a bear hug nearly lifting me off the floor, "There she is! Almost thought you weren't coming for a moment there, looking good.", "Thank you. You all look amazing yourselves, nice job on the outfits ladies. I missed you all too." I reply with a smile after Emmett finally puts me down, able to see how much happier Rosalie and Alice are from my compliment about the outfits.
"Shall we?" Rosalie asks as she and the others eagerly look at my go ahead, "Lead the way." I reply as the girls loop their arms around mine on either side while the guys follow close as we make our way through whatever activities may catch our interests. I surprisingly find myself not as bothered with prom as I expected to be, finding it more tolerable as I spent time with each of the four vampires separately as well as together in a group, passing the night smoothly with fun and comfortable companionship.
By the time the liveliness is over, I'm walking hand in hand with the girls as we talk about anything and everything, the guys following close as I occasionally laugh at their little complaints of not getting to dance with me long enough. We even plan out new activities to do next week, both individually and together as a group, including Carlisle and Esme.
As we walk into the parking lot, I casually look to the side after rolling my eyes playfully at something ridiculous Emmett suggests, my gaze unexpectedly collides with Edward's across to the other side of the parking lot, looking like he's about to go drop Bella off at her house. The eye contact is brief and I'm not really affected by it but I don't ignore the trace of longing and conflict I see flicker in Edward's eyes before I turn my attention back to Alice as she's still debating with Rosalie on which boutique we she try for our next girls day out.
'Oh boy, we're just gonna end up going to both boutiques in the end, aren't we? Just great..' I shrug to myself in resignation as we make our way to our cars, having no intention of getting involved in this shopping debate as I know how it always ends. I can still feel Edward's gaze on me from across the parking lot as I get walked to my car by Jasper who's going to drive me home, having been decided after a mini debate and a few cheek kisses to Emmett and the girls to compensate.
I get in the front passenger seat of my car as Jasper gets in the driver's seat and starts the car, pulling1 out of the parking lot and driving me home. It's only after the car leaves the view of the parking lot do I feel Edward's gaze finally disappear, sighing to myself as I slump in my seat, getting Jasper's attention.
He glances at me briefly with curiosity, "Is something on your mind, Darlin'? You seem a little thoughtful and..upset." his question grabs my attention, gazing at the road ahead absent-mindedly, I begin to open up gradually, "It's Edward, as stupid as that sounds.", 'Oh that definitely sounds stupid..' I deadpan to myself internally as Jasper glances at me briefly before focusing back on the road while saying, "It's not stupid, it's a genuine concern.. atleast I think it is, it's hard telling what your mood is when I can't feel your emotions.." he chuckles a little nervously at his admission to being a bit uncertain, I give him a casual pat on the thigh as I reassure, "It was close."
The car comes to a stop in my driveway, we get down and head into my home, Jellybean coming over excited to see me and I pick him up. "I honestly don't have a problem with Edward seeking a relationship with Bella, i respect his choices. What I have a problem with though is how he's going about all this. Bella is a regular teenage girl who barely knows what she wants in life and clearly has her own familial issues, he's probably the first guy she's ever dated and now she's completely enamored with him by more factors than just a first love romance." I sigh as I slump on my couch, leaning into Jasper's hold as he pulls me into his chest.
"I just don't want her to make decisions she might end up regretting in the future just because of this relationship with Edward, I may not like the girl but I have no reason to hate her either. Edward is way more mentally mature than her, I expect him to know better but with the kind of attitude I've seen him display.. I'm losing hope.", "Your concerns are understandable, it is quite concerning how things are going with them so far. I just hope Edward doesn't do anything irrational again.." he responds and I just get lost in thought.
Jasper stays over for another hour before he leaves. It's now close to 2 o'clock in the morning, after a shower and change of clothes, I head out to a certain spot in the woods, standing on a low branch in a pine tree as I wait patiently. It's not long before the crunch of branches catch my attention, that familiar red hair flashing by before the blonde haired male vampire appears on the same tree branch I'm stood on, Victoria stood on the branch of a different tree.
"I take it the feast was to your liking?" I start up the conversation, glancing casually at James as I ask said question, giving a small wave to Victoria who waves back with a subtle smile. "I want to ask how you are able to get this many specific people to kill but I have a feeling it's best not to ask too many questions.." I give an approving nod at that, satisfied with his response, "Smart choice." I straighten up and say calmly, "Since I take it you've gotten rid of the bodies, this may be our last time meeting... for now."
Turning away, I add on, "Be sure to keep your end of the deal, James.. and it was nice seeing you again, Victoria." With that, I hop off the tree branch and disappear into the night. This vampire journey coming to an end but my mission continues, 'Who knows, something new might grace my path soon..'
