Huo Jihan's expression visibly softened, and the oppressive atmosphere around him dissipated.

The executives noticed the change in their boss and were stunned, turning to look at the door.

They saw a young man in his early twenties standing there, with a clean and relaxed demeanor, instantly catching their attention.

However, no one knew who he was.

Huo Jihan stood up and walked out of the meeting room after seeing Lin Yi.

The executives breathed a sigh of relief.

Finally saved!

When they saw Huo Jihan bringing the young man into his office and closing the door, a group of people immediately surrounded Li Feng.

"Assistant Li, who is this person?"

"Assistant Li, tell us. It seems he has a special relationship with Mr. Huo!"

Faced with their relentless questioning, Li Feng smiled mysteriously and said, "You don't need to pry further. Just know that he's our savior."

Lin Yi followed Huo Jihan into the CEO's office.

The decoration of this office was very much in Huo Jihan's style, primarily in black, white, and gray, exuding a cold and impersonal vibe. However, the large floor-to-ceiling window was a welcome feature.

Huo Jihan closed the door and then asked Lin Yi in a low voice, "Why did you suddenly come?"

Lin Yi didn't betray Li Feng but replied, "I was passing by and decided to drop in."

He knew this explanation sounded far-fetched, but he couldn't think of any other reason at the moment.

Huo Jihan didn't seem to question it further.

Lin Yi breathed a sigh of relief and quickly changed the subject, holding up the bag in his hand. "This is the lunch your secretary just ordered. Shall we eat together?"

Huo Jihan nodded. "Yes."

Upon hearing this, Lin Yi eagerly went to the rest area in the office.

He sat on the sofa, opened the bag, and took out the contents one by one.

It was no wonder this private restaurant was always fully booked; even the packaging was exceptionally high-end.

As Lin Yi opened each box, a delightful aroma filled the air.

He glanced over and instantly spotted the spicy and sour boiled fish, with tender fish meat and sprinkled green Sichuan pepper-exactly his taste.

Just looking at it made his mouth water.

He placed a bowl of rice in front of Huo Jihan and then took one for himself, excitedly urging, "Eat, eat!"

Huo Jihan sat down and picked up his chopsticks.

Seeing this, Lin Yi didn't hesitate either. He immediately picked up a piece of the spicy fish and put it in his mouth.

He found that the fish was indeed as delicious as he had imagined.

The sour and spicy flavors, combined with the unique aroma of green Sichuan pepper, were irresistible.

Lin Yi picked up several pieces of fish and soon realized there was only one piece left.

Noticing that Huo Jihan hadn't eaten much of the fish, he said, "There's one piece left. You should have it."

Despite saying this, the reluctance in his eyes was evident, and he kept glancing at the last piece of fish like a hungry little fox pretending otherwise.
