She is Safe

Outside Shourya’s house, a calm evening that contrasts the tension of the situation. Kartik was pacing back and forth. He was visibly anxious.

Kartik- "Argh.... Aditi aur Shourya ne muze bataya kyu nahi tha.... Agar bata diya hota to Aisa kuchh nahi hota."

Aditya- "I know, Kartik. But right now, hume sirf Aditi ko dhundhne mein focus karna chahiye.... Gussa hone se koyi fayda nahi hoga...."

Kartik- "But.... She must be in trouble... And we don't have any ideas about her...."

Aditya- "I understand. But lashing out at Aditi won't bring her back or help us find her.... Let's think this through....."

Kartik- "Aap sahi keh rahe hain, Bhai... It is just... I have Never felt this way about anyone before. I thought... Aditi aur main... Were in the same page but now it feels like... Sab kuchh aisa ho jayega...." He sighed.

Aditya- "Relationships can be complicated, Kartik.... Especially when secrets are involved... Tumhe uske saath for se baat karni hogi jab woh hame mil jayegi... Just be honest about how you feel."

Kartik- "What if she doesn’t feel the same ? I cannot handle that right now, not with everything else going on."

Aditya- "Tumhe kuchh bhi pata nahi chalega agar tum try nahi karoge.... But first, let us figure out where she might be. Last time she was seen, it was at the Lavender's club, right ?"

Kartik- "Yes... But Shourya and Bhavna didn't not find her there either. What if she is in a worse situation ?"

Aditya- "We have to retrace their steps. Let us start by checking in with Shourya and Bhavna. They  might have some leads."

They walk towards Shourya's door and knock. After a brief moment, Shourya opened the door. He was looking concerned and worried.

Shourya- "Hey, guys... Tum logo Aditi bhabhi ko dhundh liyaa ?"

Aditya- "Nahi... Abhi tak nahi... We are hoping you might have some information."

Shourya- "We have been trying to reach her too..... Bhavna aur main, bohot der tak ruke rahe Lavender’s Club mein, but there was no sign of her."

Aditya- "Argh.... Anyways... Agar kuchh pata chale toh please bata dena...."

Kartik - "please....!"

Shourya- "Of course, Kartik."

Kartik- "I should have never shouted at her..... If I had not, she would have been with me right now."

Shourya- "Don’t blame yourself, Kartik...... We don’t know what happened clearly." He placed his hand on his shoulder.

Kartik- "Are you trying to understand what am I trying to say ? Maine use akela chhod diya.... Agar use kuchh ho gaya toh....? I won't be able to forgive myself."

Shourya- "Don't worry.... Hum use dhundh lenge, Kartik."

Kartik- "Muze nahi pata ki Aditi ko kya feel ho Raha hoga... I don’t know what Aditi must be thinking. She might be pushing me away." He looked down.

Shourya- "What you said to her won't make her push you away..... Your feelings were real. She cares for you too, she just needs time to understand it."

Kartik- "Do you really think so ? Tumhe aisa lagta hain, Shourya ?" He was a little assured.

Shourya- "Haan.... I am sure about it.... Sabse pehle toh hame Aditi bhabhi ko dhundhna hoga..."
