Author's POV
Emotions of Aditi were in a state of turmoil as she carefully crafted the intricate patterns of the rangoli. Her hands trembled slightly, betraying the inner turmoil she felt. The joy of Diwali was overshadowed by the confusion and doubt that plagued her mind.As she placed each vibrant color onto the ground, her thoughts raced, mirroring the rapid beating of her heart. She could not help but feel a mix of excitement and apprehension about her sister... yes, the arrival of Kritika from London. The anticipation of spending time with her sister brought a twinge of happiness, yet it also reminded her of the decision that lay heavy on her shoulders.
The weight of her impending marriage to Kartik, a man chosen by her parents, loomed over her like a dark cloud. Aditi's eyes welled up with tears as she tried to suppress the overwhelming emotions that threatened to consume her. She had always dreamed of finding love on her own terms, and the thought of marrying someone she wasn't sure she loved filled her with unease.
Aditi's heart ached as she recalled the confession Kartik had made to her two months ago. His love for her had been fervent and genuine, but his decision to keep his impending trip to Hyderabad a secret had hurt her deeply. She couldn't fathom how someone who claimed to love her could withhold such important information.
The emotional rollercoaster had taken a toll on Aditi's physical well-being as well. Her normally radiant smile had faded, replaced by a furrowed brow and tired eyes. Sleepless nights had become the norm, leaving her feeling drained and restless. Her appetite had diminished, and her once healthy glow had been replaced by a pale complexion.
Amidst the chaos of her emotions, Aditi sought solace in the presence of her best friend Kavya. Kavya's unwavering support and understanding provided a much-needed anchor in Aditi's stormy sea of emotions. They spent hours talking, dissecting every aspect of Aditi's relationship with Kartik, trying to make sense of it all.
With Diwali approaching, Aditi hoped that the festival of lights would bring clarity to her muddled mind. She longed for a sign, a moment of undeniable truth, that would guide her towards the right path. Until then, she continued to pour her emotions onto the canvas of the rangoli, hoping that the colors she chose would reflect the inner turmoil she couldn't express in words.
She completed doing her Rangoli, making it look beautiful of course. Soon, Shourya, Bhavna, Her soon-to-be in laws, Daya Ahuja, Sanjay Ahuja, Karan and Aditya arrived. But her tired yet multiverse containing eyes were finding only one person... Who is......
Shourya- "Kartik didn't come !" Yes, Kartik !
Aditi- "Huh ?" She said in confusion.
