Author's POV
The Diwali celebration was a brilliant tapestry woven with laughter and light, each diya flickering like a memory shared among friends. But amidst the vibrant colors and joyous festivities, she was standing in the shadows, a lone cloud in an otherwise brilliant sky. Her heart, once a warm lantern filled with hope, now flickered dimly with the weight of unspoken words, a silent storm brewed by the absence of love.As the fireworks burst in the night, illuminating the sky with fleeting brilliance, she felt the distance of her soon-to-be husband, Kartik like a star that had drifted far from its constellation. The laughter of her in-laws echoed around her, but each sound was a reminder of the rift left in his absence..... a crack in the very fabric of their celebration. Her anger simmered beneath the surface, a hidden ember threatening to extinguish the light of the evening, her heart caught between the joy of togetherness and the ache of unacknowledged sorrow.
His absence was a shadow lurking behind the festive colors, a reminder of the storm that had driven him to Hyderabad without a word. It felt as if the twinkling lights around her, meant to celebrate unity and joy, were a reminder of the divide now etched between them. In this luminous celebration of love and festivity, Aditi wore her joy like a veil, both beautiful and heavy..... delivered as a butterfly, yet weighed down by the bittersweet silence of unspoken. words
Kartik's POV
Huh, finally... I will meet my love, my life, my Aditi. So yeah, I am right now at her home, I have decided to give her a surprise by my sudden arrival. No one knows about my arrival, except those two musketeers Karan and Kritika.Everything was adorned with Diwali decorations, the aroma of sweets filled the air. I was hiding among the Curtains of the balcony side door, where no one was able to see me but I could see her.
She was standing on the balcony, lost in thought, side gazing at the colorful fireworks illuminating the night sky.
She sighed, her expressions were showing a mix of longing and frustration. I know, why !
I heard her saying......
Aditi- "I can't believe it is Diwali without you, Kartik. Two months left like an eternity. Aapko kyun jaana tha ?"She talked to herself. Aww, sweetie ! I didn't know you missed me this much. But don't worry, now I am here only... For you, my love. I will not leave you.
Aditi- "I don’t understand how everyone can be so happy when I feel like something is missing...... It would have been perfect if Kartik was here."
And here these two monkeys, Karan and Kritika come into the room chatting and laughing. They noticed me and then I showed them my thumb towards Aditi showing them Aditi’s sad expression. They Secretly nodded and approached her. I don't know why these two are always together. I guess, Jaisa Aditi ne kaha tha shayad waisa... Anyways, focus on her now, Kartik.
Karan- "Bhabhi.... Aap yaha kya kar rahi hai ? Aaisa lag raha hain jaise aapne bhoot dekh liya ho."Kritika- "Haan, di... It is Diwali ! Time to celebrate, not sulk !"
Aditi- "I am fine, really. Just...thinking about how much I miss Kartik." Ahh, miss you too, Jaan !
Karan- "Oh, come on ! He will be back soon enough."
