I had to admit that I enjoyed the amount of chaos that Knuckles had created by bringing up the fact that there were others in the resistance that had their family lineage contains gods in them. After all, we brought one to the light. A certain Rouge the bat.
She was a professional thief, rarely ever caught and had an eye for price. I had to get Sally to give up any data on Rouge just so that I could get an idea of her. There could be millions of options on what a demi-god could be, it just depends on what they are called to do and if their personality fits.
Taking Sonic for example, he was always a kid that always seemed to have energy and ran all over the place. He also had a calling to just run. Being impatient and cocky.
It's a bit on the nose but I believe she could be a demi-god of thievery; one in which, according to legends, hasn't been around for the longest time, even longer than a demi-god of luck, in which the luck one hasn't been around since the war. I made sure to write down a note to remember to bring up my thoughts to knuckles in the morning.
I was in my room, the file work of all the members of the resistance around me in piles. The piles weren't exactly organized how she had them but she figured that she would have to fix them once she got them back. Smart chipmunk.
I had the flies in piles that I believed were demi-gods, were definitely ones, the no's and the maybe's. In the definitely were files on Cream, a cat named Blaze, Amy, Sonic, Shadow, now Rouge, and a few others that I haven't had the chance to fully meet yet.
Sally said that she would contact anyone I needed. It was strange since she normally avoided me since I came and she looked like the skeptical type so why was she the first one to help? A knock came from my door and I didn't glance at it as I called to the person outside my door I was busy.
"Oh, even for me?" I looked up back at the door at the sound of my aunt and I sighed, getting up. She was actually the one person I wanted to see the most.
I didn't think much of it but I missed her terribly since I could remember things about her. She was the closest thing that I had to a mother after all. I opened the door and grinned at my aunt who was carrying a small tray of something that smelled delicious. "Hey Auntie, come on in" I backed up out of the doorway into my little room, the glass shards still in the trash can from earlier today.
She looked around the room, catching the broken mirror and looked at me. I quickly looked back to the paperwork on the floor, opening one about a kid named 'Gadget' that was nicknamed Rookie during the whole thing with Infinite. I didn't know much about that event since I was one of the many being in safe homes that time.
"I brought some home cooking. Figured you might have missed that"
"You better believe it, Auntie" I hadn't pulled away from the paperwork, setting the file on Gadget on the maybe pile before clearing the chair for my aunt to sit down. "Though I doubt that's the only reason you're here right now instead of Sonic"
She looked a little torn at my words, unwrapping some delicious smelling pastries that she made. "You don't mean that but I did want to speak to you alone, Sage." She handed me a plate and I suddenly felt not hungry knowing what she was meaning.
"Look, I don't want to talk about anything about what I did, Auntie. All of those memories are things that id rather not remember" I tucked my fur back away from my blind eye and nibbed the lemon bread she put on my plate.
"I get that but.....Sage, I need to know" She had tears in her eyes and I hated leaving her in the dark like this; one of her many motherly skills, make us a little guilty about stuff.
"Trust me, you don't want to know anything that happened with me, Eggman, or Shadow...." I clapped my hand over my mouth, stopping my words from coming free. Her eyes went wide hearing Shadow's name and I don't blame her. Shadow was one of those people no one knew much about and here I was, saying that my past involved them.
