"Please.. Please Y/N.." Agatha's pleads met my ears, but I didn't move. I couldn't. "Please Y/N, don't let her take him!" She sobbed. I looked down to her, tears in my eyes. I couldn't move, I couldn't do anything. My eyes darted up to my sister, her face holding the same sorrow.

"Agatha..." The words barely left my mouth, my brain refusing to believe the future we are living in. "Honey..." My breath caught in my throat as my eyes met hers again, the pleading look she gave me. She needed my help, and yet all I could do was stand there. I crumbled to my knees, this shouldn't be happening. I shouldn't be the one making this decision. I can't decide who lives and who dies, I can only keep the living going. "I can't."

PRESENT DAY

I walked around my home, dusting off the surfaces that have come to accumulate it. It was quiet.. Living alone, it was always quiet, but something felt wrong. The air felt thicker, the silence louder. It had been years since I felt an energy so strong. My feet shuffled towards the door out of instinct, opening it as a hand was mere inches away.

"Oop-" He let out a shocked noise, before straightening his posture. "Hi. Are you Y/N Vidal?" He asked, a gentle smiling forming on his face. His kind demeanor wouldn't trick me though. I could sense the power radiating off him from miles away.

"I am." I replied flatly, trying to keep my expression neutral. "Who are you? And where are your parents?" I looked around now noticing the kid was alone. Not an adult in sight.

"They're at home." He shrugged off my question. "And I'm b̸̧̦͎̲̠̳͎̯̹̓̎į̷̗̳̤̮͔̼̹̝̃̾͗̏̅̿͘l̴͎͎̫̈̐l̴̢̧͔̭̬̹͊̒̚͝y̶̥̏͗̏͊́̊̍̕͘." My eyes widened slightly as the words left his mouth. It had been years, centuries even, since I had seen a sigil in person. Most witches hated them, they are rather inconvenient.

I quickly pulled the kid inside, shutting the door behind him. "What are you here for?" I asked, going around and closing all the curtains.

"Uhh." He hesitated, but then pointed in the direction of my back door. I looked towards it, a scowl forming on my face as I noticed who leant against it.
She smiled and waved, before standing upright and heading my direction. "Now before you get mad-"

"Mad?" I asked with a scoff. "Oh I'm way beyond mad when it comes to you Agatha." I spat, turning to reopen my front door. "Whatever the hell you want from me, you'll have to find it elsewhere." I gestured for them to leave but they stood still. "I want nothing to do with you Agatha." I moved my eyes to the teen who looked confused at my sudden tone change. "And if you had half a brain you wouldn't even be hanging around this witch."

Agatha rolled her eyes, heading towards the door. "Before we go, just know we'll be walking the witches road tonight." I stared at her in disbelief, after everything she experienced last time.. "Come or don't, but I'm sure you'd love to finally be able to rid yourself of the power you so badly hate." I didn't say a word as I watched her walk away.

A paper popped up in front of my face. "Agatha's address, we're meeting there at five." I grabbed the paper, closing the door quickly behind them.
I stared at the paper in my hands, it was calling me. I felt a pull. I needed to be there.

I parked my car and leaned against the steering wheel. As much as I didn't want to be here, I had no choice. Life has a path set for me, and I can't stray from it.
With a sigh, I gathered my things and made my way to the house. "I hope I'm not late." I said, peaking around the corner.
Two unfamiliar faces met mine. "Who are you?" One asked.
