Agatha rushed to his side. "What happened?"
"What's wrong with him?" Lilia asked, all of us gathering around him in a panic.
"He's bleeding." Jen noticed, pointing to the glass puncturing his abdomen.

"We have to get him out of here." I said, beginning to lift him from the floor.

Alice helped me, the two of us slowly lower him down the piano. "Careful, careful." Lilia said as we gently placed his body down on a large tree stump.
"Watch his head." Jen added.

Jen gently removed the glass from his body as I stood with my sister. I wasn't sure what to do. Rio stared on, waiting patiently to collect. My feet wouldn't move. I wanted so badly to help, but my body stayed put.

"There's so much blood." Agatha cried.
"I got it." Jen reassured, pressing a cloth to his wound to try and stop the bleeding.
"What else can we do? What else can we do?" Agatha rushed out.

"He's young. He's strong." Lilia said, trying to ease her mind.
"Don't!" Agatha snapped, turning to look at my sister. "Don't." She whispered, her eyes coming to me.
"Please." She cried, cradling teens head in her hands.
"Three of swords." I heard Lilia whisper.

Fighting everything that was holding me back, I ran over. My hands laid gently on teens wound, a white glow emitting from them as I closed my eyes. "What the-" Jen said, but I zoned out. My body focusing on helping teen live.
I felt his skin move beneath my fingers, his flesh being put back together. I moved a single hand up his chest, feeling his heart beat growing stronger. I did it.

I looked over to my sister with a smile, but she didn't reciprocate it. She looked.. angry. "You did it." Agatha whispered, gripping my hand tight.
"We should move him somewhere more comfortable." Jen said, a few of us moving to lift his body.

We brought him to a nice spot, building a small hut around him. Agatha gently placed her jacket on his body, hoping to keep him warm.
"I'll sit with him." She said, taking a seat nearby. "I'll let you guys know if he wakes up."

We left her alone, heading to a different spot not too far away. "I'll start a fire." Alice said as we all sat down.

Lilia sat on a rock while I sat on the ground next to it, leaning my head against her thigh; Her hand playing with my hair as we watched Alice work.

"I never really identified as just a witch." Jen said as Alice took a seat nearby her. "I'm an eleventh generation root worker and midwife."

"A midwife." Lilia said impressed.
"How are you bound?" Alice asked gently.

"I was invited to the brand new obstetrics association of greater Boston. To share my expertise." She replied, shaking her head. "It was a trap. I still don't know how he did it; Bound me without magic. So much for 'do no harm.'" She sighed.

"When mom died, I stopped believing everything she ever taught me." Alice said, trying to share vulnerable parts of herself as Jen did. "I was so angry." She shrugged sadly. "Part of me hoped that the road wasn't real, so I could stay angry. Because..." She trailed off.

"Now you know, it was all for you." Lilia finished her sentence, Alice looking at her with a solemn smile. "And that makes you sad." Alice nodded in agreement, tears brimming her eyes. "Sad is better than angry." Lilia said softly.
