~"when you know, you know."~

"Before you, I always felt like something was missing in my life. It just always felt incomplete. But when I met you, things changed. I feel whole for the first time in centuries, all because of you."
My entire life, my mind was always running wild. My heart was always hurting. But now, the voices are quiet. My heart is at peace.

"I've been alone for centuries Y/N..." Lilia whispered, her grip slowly loosening on my body. "I- I'm not sure I know how to be anything but that..."
Everything felt still. I could only stare at the woman before me, my brain beginning to run wild again. She was rejecting me. After everything, she didn't actually want me.

I felt my vision blur as the world around me began to crumble. "Y/N?" I heard a voice echo but I couldn't see anything. The world was turning black. My heart feeling empty again, my mind becoming void of everything.
"Y/N." Lilia's voice came through loud and sharp, her hands holding my face tight. "Amuri miu[my love], listen to me." My eyes met hers, everything beginning to re-focus. "I'm not sure I know how to be anything but that.." She repeated her earlier words, a lot softer this time. "But, if you give me the chance to figure it all out, I would love nothing more than to be yours."

I felt a tear slip down my cheek, her thumb moving to wipe it away. For a moment, the world had felt as though it was going to eat me alive. For a moment, my thoughts consumed me again. And she broke me free.
"Really?" I whispered, my eyes refusing to leave hers.

"Of course." She smiled, her arms moving to hang loosely around my neck. "You made me feel again, of course I'd want to be with you."
I looked into her eyes, searching for anything.. any sign that she was being untruthful. But there was nothing. She was being completely genuine.

My arms slid around her waist, pulling her in and resting my head against her shoulder. Everything finally felt right. The ache was finally gone. My sister's words, from when we were young, finally proved true. I found my person.

"Shh." I whispered, quietly closing the door behind us. "Alice might still be here, and she may be sleeping." I said, coming to stand behind Lilia; placing my head on top of hers.

"I am still here." Alice called from the living room, gaining both our attention. "Glad to see you guys are still being lovey." She smiled, waving us over to the couch. "I just put on a movie if you guys wanted to join me."

Lilia grabbed my hand and dragged me over. She pushed me down onto the couch and settled herself in my lap. "I'm honestly surprised that you guys are becoming roommates." Lilia joked.

"She took my 'make yourself at home' comment a little too seriously." I added, earning a laugh from the two women.
"I mean, who can say no to free housing." She shrugged, sipping on whatever drink she had in her hands.

"She gets to live here for free?" Lilia gasped, looking back at me. "And what about me? My bed is also my wall right now."
"You can live here too." I replied, placing a kiss on her cheek. "I would love to have you around 24/7." She grabbed my face with one hand and kissed me properly before settling back into my lap.
