-I stood from the floor, helping Agatha back to her feet. "Come on." I said quietly, slowly directing her to her room. "Why don't you rest a bit." She said nothing, just laying in bed and staring blankly at the wall.
My heart ached. I felt like a failure. The child I had come to know and love, gone. Just like that. I should've tried. I should've done something.
I left her room, quietly shutting the door behind me. This was all my fault.
Gathering my things, I left. I had no where else to go, but I couldn't stay here. I was a burden to them. I was useless. I couldn't even figure out how to properly use my power.-

I sat up abruptly, my hands clawing at my chest as I struggled to breathe. My entire body was on fire, my insides feeling as though they had been put through a shredder.
I opened my eyes, a flurry of white filling my vision. I blinked a few times, but there was nothing. No people, no objects. Just... White.

I stood from the floor, dusting myself off. My outfit was different.. I started walking. I needed to find something, anything, to get me out of here.

"Y/N.." I heard a voice echo. I turned around, again and again, trying to find the owner. "I'm not down there." It said.

I looked up into the sky, gasping as they came into view. "Dad?" I whispered, staring at the figure. His face grey, a black energy surrounding his body. "Am I dead?" I felt tears prick my eyes.

He didn't respond for what felt like years. "No." I sighed in relief, wiping a tear from my face. "You will be if you don't get out of here though."

"What?" I whispered. "What do you mean?" I asked. I couldn't die, not yet. Not now.
"Break free." He responded, lowering his body to my level. "Spread your wings and fly, cariño[Honey]." He whispered, placing a gentle hand on my cheek.

Before I could say anything, he was gone. I whipped around, trying to find him again. But there was nothing. "Dad?" I shouted, my voice echoing around me. "Please. I don't understand." I cried, wanting nothing more than to get out of here.
"Just show me something, anything, please." I pleaded, hoping something would hear me.

I froze as a noise finally met my ears. I listened closely, the sound of running water. I looked around, my eyes landing on something in the distance.
Wasting no time, I ran. I ran like my life depended on it. The distant stream getting closer and closer.

I stopped, looking around my new surroundings. I was outside. I followed the water, stopping as I met the edge of a cliff. 'Spread your wings and fly.' My father's words echoed in my mind.
The only way out was down. I backed up from the edge slightly. I trusted my father with my life. If he says to fly.. the so be it.

I took a deep breath in. I only had one option. I felt my feet make contact with the ground, launching myself off the edge as I jumped. 'Spread your wings.' I closed my eyes, focusing on those words.
My hands spread from my body. I felt the change. I felt how the wind hit me differently. I felt as though I was one with the sky.
I opened my eyes, watching as buildings came into view. 'Fly.' I guided my body through the air, focusing on the one place I had to be.

The sky became darker, a green hue clouding my vision. I had to move faster. My wings flapped as my speed increased.
My sister's maniacal laughter met my ears as I got closer. "Congratulations, my love!" She shouted, her laughter getting louder. "I'm sorry I didn't have a ribbon for you to run through." I heard her mutter in the distance.

As I went to approach them, something stopped me. I couldn't see her, but I could feel her. I looked down, my eyes scanning all the people that had crowded around. "Lilia.." I whispered as the woman caught my eye. She was alive. She was safe.
My body lowered to the ground, stopping right in front of her. She stared at me, a mix of horror and awe. I stepped closer but she moved back. "Lilia?" I asked, feeling my heart break slightly.
