Chapter 31

An Shuo: Rufeite, I give you two choices. Either you come to me now, or one day, I will wait for you to beg me to join the Holy See.

Rufeite: I wonder if you have ever heard three words? -Get lost!!

Rufeite and Anno ducked and weaved amidst the chaos, one wearing a fierce expression with tears in his eyes, while the other appeared blank-faced, his mouth twitching in disbelief.

The entire venue was in disarray. Alarms blared throughout the business conference hall, and the audience, initially captivated by the unfolding drama, stood aside, as if they had never seen their chairman act so disgracefully.

As if the situation weren't chaotic enough, Rufeite's consciousness surged through the hall, lifting a woman's skirt and slapping a man's behind. Meanwhile, a maintenance robot scanned the area, its cameras focused on Anno and Rufeite. Suddenly, smoke bombs erupted, filling the space with a thick, white haze.

"Ah!" A woman's piercing scream cut through the tumult.

In the midst of the swirling smoke, Anno yanked Rufeite's collar, hissing through clenched teeth, "Are you pretending to be a woman or something?"

Rufeite's face was already bruised from crying. He blinked away the tears, wiped his face, and managed a crooked grin. "It's so hard to cry!"

Anno could only stare, dumbfounded.

Rufeite continued, "Yunxiu should have left with Garner. We are officially entering the climax now; it's time to wrap things up!"

Anno blinked in confusion. "Climax? What was that just now?"

"Of course, it's a warm-up!" Rufeite exclaimed, pulling a pocket bullet from the pocket of his dress and tossing it into the fray.

"Bang, bang, bang..." The noise echoed, sending a ripple of panic through the crowd of onlookers.

Rufeite hurled a smoke bomb, causing the maintenance robots to go haywire. Alarms blared incessantly as the infrared cameras located Anno and Rufeite, and anesthetic bullets were shot in their direction.

Anno deflected one of the bullets with his consciousness and glared at Rufeite. "What are you doing?"

In the swirling white smoke, Rufeite ripped off his disguise-his wig, his dress-casting aside the façade. He revealed a voice changer hidden under his tongue and kicked off his high heels, standing there clad only in boxer briefs, a rogue smile spreading across his face. "I've always wanted to fight the Jindi guard robots! Let's do this!"

Rufeite's physique was impressive, and Anno had initially expected him to have a build like Kewei's-strong arms, a solid waist, and well-defined abs. But now, as Rufeite stood before him, Anno realized Rufeite's body was more toned than bulky, harmoniously fit rather than overly muscular.

But why did this feel so familiar?

Rufeite smirked. "Do I look familiar? I trained according to your original body shape!"

Anno stared, incredulous. "..."

The guard robots burst into the hall as the warning alarms ceased, and the audience had been evacuated.

A light bullet whizzed past Anno's head. Rufeite frowned and unleashed his anger through his consciousness, attacking the robot, which exploded mid-air.

However, at that moment, Rufeite had to lean back to evade another wave of consciousness.

"Want to fight? I'll accompany you!" Rufeite challenged, his eyes gleaming with mischief.
