Chapter 19

I woke up with the sun shining against my face, the memories from last night came rushing back into my mind. Nilingon ko ang katabi ko, she's peacefully sleeping.

I can feel that my body was sore, I tried to sit up, my hand accidentally pressed on her kaya napasinghap siya. My eyes widened realizing that yung ano niya ang nahawakan ko, and it's hard.

"I'm sorry, hindi ko sinasadya."

She curled into a ball, and looked like she was in pain. Hinawakan ko ang shoulders niya, making sure she's fine. "Bakit mo naman sinasaktan, pinasaya ka lang nito last night." She teased.

I rolled my eyes at sinapok ang ulo niya, "Masakit pa ba?"

"Yes, need niya ng init mo ulit." She said, a smirk playing in the corner of her lips.

"No, I'm sore. I don't even know if makakalakad pa ako, so help me up." Ilang rounds ba naman kasi ang nagawa namin.

She chuckled, tinulungan niya naman akong makatayo. Paika-ika akong naglakad papunta sa bathroom, naligo na rin ako.

Nang nakalabas na ako, wala siya sa kwarto. That's good dahil magpapalit ako. I was combing my hair when I heard my phone rang.

Kinuha ko agad ito from the nightstand, it's Luna. "Hello, Luna?"

"Dawn, she's awake." Rinig ko ang kalabog ng puso ko, "Dusk is awake."

My hand went to my mouth, my breath catching in my throat. "Really? How was she? I'm out of town right now, pero babalik din ako agad diyan bukas."

"She's looking for you, I think you should come right now." Luna said, her voice laced with concern.

My heart sank. I had been so caught up in my own world, in my own little bubble of happiness, that I had completely forgotten about Dusk.

Napatahimik muna ako, "Alright, I'll just prepare my things. Baka afternoon na ako nandiyan kasi tatlong oras ang biyahe."

"Sige sige, ingat. Bye!" I ended the call.

She's awake.

"How are you feeling right now?" I asked my twin sister. I had missed her so much, and it felt like ages since I had seen her awake and alert.

"Getting better, at least." She replied, a small smile gracing her lips. I smiled back, relieved to see her in good spirits.

"Now tell me Dusk, bakit nagmamadali kang puntahan ako that night?"

Seryosong tumitig siya sa akin, hinawakan ko ang kamay niya as I waited for her answer.

"You can now stop seeing Vodka." I froze at what she said, my breath catching in my throat. My heart pounded in my chest, a wave of panic washing over me. "Kakausapin ko na siya." She continued, her voice firm and resolute.

I don't know pero nalungkot ako sa sinabi. Why didn't I prepare for this? I almost forgot that being with Dmitri was just a mission. I'll admit that I'm falling for her already, I tried to be strong, not to be affected by charms and everything. But I failed. Dmitri is not mine.

"So what's your decision?" I asked her, nilunok ko yung masakit na nakaharang sa throat ko.

"I will clarify to her that you're my twin sister, para tigilan ka na niya. Also, hindi ko na siya ipapakilala si Vaughn sa kanya. Kakausapin ko lang siya about you, and then babalik na lang kami ni Vaughn sa America. Doon ko na lang tatapusin ang college ko. Don't worry, I'll take all the blame para hindi ka madamay sa galit nun. I know her anger, nakakapatay talaga." She held my hand tight, "I can't thank you enough for your help, you don't know how much you've helped me and Vaughn from her. Kaya maraming salamat sa ginawa mo para sa amin, Dawn."
