Chapter 10

I was staring at the bouquet of flowers, there's also a card with a note. It read:

From bud to bloom, you've blossomed in my heart's embrace,
A vibrant secret, in this intimate space.
Each touch, a tender rain, a whispered plea,
My love for you, a blooming eternity.

I bit my lip to stop it from smiling, andaming alam ni Dmitri.

Papalabas pa lang ako ng company, may sumalubong na agad sa akin na nag deliver ng bouquet.

"Got you, baby."

Napasigaw ako nung may nanggulat sa akin sa likod ko, Dmitri chuckled and hugged me from behind.

I pulled away and faced her, matalim na tinignan ko siya. "Ano naman bang pakulo ito?" I pointed at the bouquet in my arms.

She shrugged, "Who gave you that?"

I rolled my eyes, "Dmit- Vod!"

Tumawa siya, "I gave you flowers, just because... Actually, you forgot something, I'm sad na." She pouted.

My eyebrows furrowed, "At ano naman iyon?"

"Today is the twelfth of September."

"Okay?" I replied, still puzzled.

"It should be our fourth anniversary." she said, her eyes fixed on mine.

"Ha?" I uttered, my mind struggling to grasp the implications of her words.

"Come on, sweetheart. Don't act like you forgot." She pouted again, a hint of sadness clouding her eyes.

"Why anniversary? You continued counting?" I asked, my voice laced with disbelief.

"Yes, if you could see those sticks I've written on the wall with a rock, in my prison unit." she explained, her voice filled with poignant nostalgia.

Dusk mentioned that they dated for four months, and now it's their fourth anniversary.

"We should celebrate then." I said, making her eyes twinkle.

"Well, as we should. Come with me, baby." I looked at her after I heard that last statement, her eyebrows furrowed at me. "What's wrong?"

"Wala." I followed her in her car. "So, saan tayo?" I asked her.

"That would be a surprise."

The drive took almost an hour, muntikan pa akong antukin since wala naman kaming masyadong napagkwentuhan. Nagpark na siya sa harap ng isang malaking mansion, medyo malayo ito sa city.

Pinagbuksan niya ako, and when I got out of the car, that's when I saw the full features of the mansion. It's kind of gothic and haunted, I find it creepy vibes.

"Vod, where are we?" I asked, my voice a little shaky.

"My home," she replied, her voice a soft purr, her eyes gleaming with a hint of mischief.

May mga security guards na nakalinya sa malaking gate at naka all black pa silang lahat, malalaki ang katawan nila na parang bouncer ng bar.
