SPG: VIOLENCE ⚠️⚠️⚠️
VODKA
I was kept in my room. Dad kept me here, she locked me up. The walls were closing in on me, the silence deafening. It felt like a cage, a prison of my own making.
"GET ME OUT OF HERE!" I screamed once again, my voice raw with frustration and despair. I kicked the door, my foot connecting with the wood with a dull thud. The sound echoed in the empty room.
My knuckles were bruised and bleeding since I kept on punching the door. The pain was a dull ache, my futile attempts to break free.
I heard the voices in my head laughing at me. They were cruel, mocking, and relentless. They whispered in my ear, telling me that I was weak, that I was a failure, that I would never escape.
I tried to fight them, to silence them, but they were too strong. They had taken root in my mind, a toxic weed that choked my sanity.
I was trapped, not just in this room, but in my own mind. I was a prisoner of my own demons, a slave to the darkness that consumed me.
"You were caged again."
"You were locked up again."
"SHUT THE FUCK UP!" I screamed, my voice cracking with rage and desperation. I covered my ears, trying to block out the voices, the relentless taunts that echoed in my head. But it was no use. They were everywhere, a constant chorus of negativity.
"Walang kwentang bata."
The mocking voice echoed in my head, followed by a cruel, cackling laughter. It felt like a physical blow, a punch to the gut that left me breathless and trembling.
The door suddenly opened, snapping me out of my internal torment. I looked up at my Dad who entered my room, her face a mask of concern and worry. She closed the door behind her, the sound of the click locking me in even further. She looked at me seriously, her eyes searching for mine.
"Those men you killed," she stated, her voice was calm but I knew that she was infuriated. "Alam mo bang may mga pamilya ang mga pinatay mo!"
She went to me and grabbed my collars, she pulled me up and pinned me at the wall. Her nails are digging on my skin.
I laughed. "They deserved it."
"That ice cream guy followed the little girl, I followed him, he almost abducted that kid if I wasn't there to kill him."
She paused, "Hindi mo siya kailangang patayin!"
I laughed once again, "Sorry, family genes are acting up. Don't act like you're not a murderer, Dad."
She slapped me hard on my face, I spit the blood to the side. She gritted her teeth, I can see both sadness and anger in her eyes. "Vodka..." Her tears flowed as she looked at me with pity.
"And that guy at the bar, he was molesting that girl at the back of the bar. I can't just stand there and watch that girl being groped by that disgusting man."
She lets go of me, my knees gave in and my body fell down the floor. I sat on the floor, my back against the cold wall. I looked up at her who was in distress.
"Anak, please tell me what's happening to you." She kneeled down in front of me.
"I can't make you understand Dad, I can't make anyone understand what's happening inside me. Heck, I can't even explain it to myself!" My hands were balled into fists.
She stayed silent for a moment, her eyes filled with tears. She knew that I was lost, that I was trapped in a labyrinth of my own making.
She pulled my body into her arms, her embrace a warm, comforting haven. She hugged me tightly, her tears soaking my shirt.
