AURORA POV:
I laid in the pod that woke me up. We must be almost to Homestead 2. Has it really been 120 years? The pod opened and the cot that I was laying on moved up.
"Good morning Aurora. How are you feeling" asked a voice.
I opened my eyes and saw a hologram in front of me.
"Okay" I said tiredly.
"You just spent 120 years in suspended animation" said the hologram.
The cot moved over to a area where I was scanned.
"We have another four months before we land at Homestead 2. A paradise to end your final journey" said the hologram.
I came to Homestead 2 to live for a year and then go back to Earth and I will write about my experience. I'll have a story no one else can tell after all.
"You're in perfect health. Let's get you to your cabin where you can get some rest" said the hologram.
The screen went away and I got off the cot. I was given some pajamas to change into. We get to pick our pajamas before hand. I just wore some pants and a shirt. I am glad I chose comfy clothes before I feel a little sick.
"The cabins are down the hall and to your right" said a voice.
I followed the directions and made it down to the cabins. I'm a little surprised no one else is here. It's probably nothing. I walked threw the halls looking for my room. I don't even know which one is mine.
"You're door will illuminate for you" said the voice.
I looked around and down the halls till I found a glowing door. Room K12. I used my ID to open the door and entered.
"Welcome to your cabin. Your home till we make land fall" said the voice as I looked around surprised.
This place is huge and fancy. I know I paid for a suite but I still didn't expect this.
"Over the next four months you will enjoy the luxuries that the Avalon has to offer, meet fellow passengers, and prepare for your new life" said the voice.
I sat on the bed and rubbed my hand against the blanket. This feels like the best bed in the world. Or I guess space.
"Be sure to drink plenty of fluids to help you recover from hibernation. Enjoy the rest of your time here" said the voice.
And then it was gone. I know I should probably rest but I want to explore. I left my room and went to explore the ship. I went to the grand concourse. It has stores, food, games, and other activities. I'm sure there are people there. Or there should be.
"Ground concourse" said the elevator as the doors opened.
That's, odd. I left the elevator and looked around confused. It's quite. Like I'm the only one here quite. I walked around the concourse going to different store.
"HELLO" I yelled.
"IS ANYONE THERE" I yelled.
This place is empty for some reason. Where is everyone? Are they all asleep? I opened the door and entered a book store. There was books on every shelf and no one here. I picked up a book and looked it over. It feels brand new. But why is this place empty? After putting the book back I kept walking. Where is everyone? I understand that some people would chose to rest after waking up from hibernation but I can't be the only one who didn't. I sat by a waterfall as I felt the air get heavy an dthe walls closing in. Am I the only one awake? And if not then where is everyone?
"Hello" asked a voice.
I looked up surprised and saw a boy standing there.
