JIM POV:

I wiped my face and stood up. I need help. I'm so lonely here. I then noticed a pod was empty. I ran over to it. It's empty. Meaning someone else is awake. I picked up the bottle that was on the ground. The name plate was damaged. That must of happened when I threw the bottle. It hit the pod and, woke some one up. But who? I ran out of the pod room and around looking for this person. I made it to the ground concourse.

"Anybody" said a voice.

I saw a girl with short blond hair walking around. She beautiful. And here I am looking like total crap.

"Hello" I said.

The girl turned to face me.

"Hi, are you passenger or crew" asked the girl as she walked over to me.

"Passenger. I'm Jim Preston" I said.

"Aurora Lane" said the girl.

She looked me over.

"Sorry, I would made myself presentable if I knew I'd see you today" I said.

"What? You weren't expecting company" asked Aurora.

"No, I have been alone for a year" I said.

"A year? But that doesn't make sense. The crew is suppose to wake up a month before us. Some one has to land the ship soon" said Aurora.

"Meet me in the observatory" I said.

"Okay" said Aurora confused.

We left and I went to my room. I looked in the mirror at myself. Surprised I didn't give Aurora a heart attack. I need to make myself look, not creepy. I gave myself a shave and a hair cut before running to the observatory to find Aurora sitting in the room.

"You look, different" said Aurora as she stood up.

"Ya sorry, figured I could look more presentable since I'm no longer alone" I said.

I walked to the center of the room.

"Show me Homestead two" I said.

The hologram showed Homestead two and gave a speech about it.

"And where are we" I asked.

"We are in transit from Earth to Homestead two. We will arrive in approximately 89 years" said the hologram.

"89 years" asked Aurora.

"That is correct" said the hologram.

Aurora was confused.

"The others aren't late waking up. We were early" I said.

I could see the horror in Aurora's face.

"But how? Who else is awake" asked Aurora.

"It's just us" I said.

"What about the crew" asked Aurora.

"Still asleep. I tried to get in to their room but passengers don't have access" I said.

Aurora took a minute to process everything.

"We need to get back to sleep" said Aurora.

She ran out of the room.

"Aurora wait" I said following her.

I followed Aurora back to the pod room and she ran in.

"We just need to get back into our pods. And start them up again" said Aurora.

"It won't work" I said.

Aurora ran around looking for her pod.

"I can't find my pod" she said.

"It doesn't matter" I said.

Aurora stopped running and looked around the room panicked.

"I CAN'T FIND IT. I DON'T KNOW WHICH ONE IS MINE" Aurora yelled.

I held her arms and stopped her.

"LISTEN TO ME" I yelled.

"It won't work. I tried" I said.

"What" asked Aurora.

I let go of her arms and took Aurora to her pod. It sat there open.

"These pods were made to keep us in hibernation. Putting someone in hibernation requires special equipment" I said.

"So, you're saying that we are stuck here" asked Aurora.

"Ya, unfortunately" I said.

"And, you haven't found a way to go back to sleep" asked Aurora.

"If I did, I would of gone to sleep a year ago" I said.
