JIM POV:
I hope I learned enough French for this. I woke up a girl named Aurora but she doesn't speak a word of English. Only French. I did learn French and practiced with Arthur.
"Salut, est-ce que quelqu'un est la" asked Aurora.
I saw Aurora looking around the grand concourse.
"Bonjour" I said.
Aurora turn to see me and walked over to me.
"Bonjour, etes-vous passager ou membre d'equipage" asked Aurora.
"Passager, Jim Preston" I said.
Luckily my name is similar in French but pronounced differently.
"Aurora Lane, tu sais ce qui se passe? Personne de ma rangee ne s'est reveille" said Aurora.
"Same for me" I said.
Aurora looked at me confused.
"Desolee, je parle anglais mais j'apprends le francais" I said.
Aurora understood and relaxed a little.
"Personne d'autre ne s'est encore reveille" I said.
"Tu dis que personne d'autre n'est reveille" asked Aurora.
"Juste moi" I said.
"Juste toi" asked Aurora.
"C'est juste nous" I said.
Aurora was shocked by this.
"Mais quelqu'un doit faire atterrir le navire dans quelques semaines" said Aurora.
"Suis-moi, je dois te montrer quelque chose" I said.
"Ok" said Aurora confused.
I took Aurora to the observatory.
"Bienvenue a l'observatoire. Que puis-je te montrer" said the voice.
I also had my ID upgraded to have all the systems speak French for me. I took Aurora to the middle of the of the room.
"Montre-moi la propriete deux" I said.
The hologram showed the planet Homestead 2.
"Propriete deux est la quatrieme planete de son systeme" said the voice.
"Et ou sommes-nous" I asked.
The hologram showed earth and the Avalon heading to Homestead two.
"Nous sommes en transit de la Terre vers Propriete deux. Nous arriverons dans 89 ans" said the voice.
"89 ans" asked Aurora.
"Les autres ne se reveille pas tard. Nous etions en avance" I said.
Aurora looked at me.
"Nous avons besoin d'aide. Ou est l'equipage" asked Aurora.
"Allez" I said.
We left the observatory and went to the command ring where the crew hibernation pods are. I let Aurora look threw the window to see everyone still asleep.
"L'equipage est dans un endroit securise. Tout est derriere des pare-feu. Il n'y a aucun moyen de jeter" I said.
Aurora looked around the hall at all the stuff I left out from when I tried to break in.
"Depuis combien de temps es-tu eveille" asked Aurora with fear in her voice.
"Un an et trois semaines" I said.
Aurora was shocked and I saw fear fill her eyes.
"Non, ca ne peut pas arriver" said Aurora.
I could see she was trying not to panic.
"Nous devons nous rendormir" said Aurora before running to the hibernation pods.
"Aurora nous ne pouvons pas" I said running after her.
We ran into the hibernation room and Aurora ran around looking for her pod.
"Nous avons juste besoin de retourner dans nos pods et de les redemarrer" said Aurora.
She stopped running and started to panic. I ran up to her but Aurora ran off saying that she can't find her pod. I ran after her and held her arms.
"Je vais t'aider, arrete" I said.
Aurora calmed down a little and I took her to her pod.
"Mettre quelqu'un en hibernation necessite un equipement special. Ces pods ne peuvent pas nous endormir" I said.
"Tu ne penses pas que nous puissions nous rendormir" asked Aurora.
"Non" I said.
After a few minutes I started to take Aurora to her cabin to get some rest. The walk was mostly silent.
"Un an seul. Je ne peux meme pas imaginer. Mais je suppose que nous avons de la chance de connaitre tous les deux le francais" said Aurora.
"J'ai appris environ 15 langues. Ca m'a aidee a me sentir moins seule" I said.
