Ship of Lies Notes

AURORA POV:

"Why are we here" I asked as we entered the pod room.

"You'll see" said Peter.

We walked over to a door and Peter opened it. We walked threw and entered another room.

"Welcome Jim and Aurora" said a voice.

"Wait Jim" I asked.

"Oh, ya, my ID got mixed up and they put Jim instead of Peter" said Peter.

"Oh, atleast they got you a nice name" I said.

Peter smiled at that. We were silent for a second and I looked around the room. Inside the room was space suits and other stuff.

"The view outside is pretty nice. I figured you would like to see it" said Peter.

I was a little surprised by this. Peter put his suit on with no problem.

"So, you've d9ne this before" I asked.

"Oh ya, many times" said Peter.

He finished putting his suit on and turned to me.

"And it's safe" I asked.

"No" Peter joked.

I laughed a little nervous.

"It's completely safe if you keep your suit on" said Peter.

"What, are you saying someone took the suit off outside" I asked.

"Once, it was dark times" said Peter.

We were silent again. Peter and I have talked about his past before he was alone here. There was this once girl named Amber. She was a vet and loved animals. She went to Homestead 2 to become a vet there but woke up early and didn't make it. There was also Steve. He was chef but also didn't make it. I don't mind talking about the past but I don't want to bring up any harmful memories for Peter.

"Hop in, you're next" said Peter as he got a suit ready.

"What about my dress" I asked.

Peter thought about it.

"Did not think of that" said Peter.

I chuckled.

"Turn around" I said.

Peter was shocked by this but turned ro face the other way. I took my dress and heels off before getting in the suit.

"Okay, I'm ready" I said.

Peter turned back to face me and we put our helmets on. I must admit I am nervous. We went threw the airlock and entered space. I have magic boots but can still feel the zero gravity. I followed Jim outside and stood next to him.

"Tether attached" said a voice as a rope attached to our suits.

I was amazed by the view of the stars. There is so many and all over. Peter and I held hands and walked to the ledge. He walked in front of me and turned the magnets in his boots off.

"What are you doing" I asked.

"Do you trust me" asked Peter.

"Yes" I said.

Peter turned my boots off and held my hands as we jumped. Which honestly is a bit scary but the tether is still there keeping me attached to the ship. Peter and I floated in space as we held hands and looked at the space around us. In front of us was Homestead 2.

"Is that" I asked.

"Homestead 2. Quite a view huh" said Peter.

"It's amazing. It looks just like earth" I said.

I looked at Peter and saw him smiling but also a hint of sadness in his eyes.

"Why do you're eyes look so sad" I asked.

Peter took a deep breath.

"I'm not sure I'm ready for this trip to be over yet. Seeing Homestead 2 so close just reminds me I might never see you again" said Peter.

I was confused.

"Who says we can't see each other again" I asked.

Peter was surprised.

"Are you" Peter started to say but couldn't finish.

"I'm on a date with you. I don't want to leave you. I want to stay with you. Whether Homestead 2 or anywhere" I said.

Peter smiled.

"I wish I could kiss you out here but you'll die if you remove your helmet" said Peter.
